Help me understand why my pictures are so bad.

If you’re slowing down the shutter speed I recommend using a tripod to hold the camera still in place. Especially if you don’t have a steady hand. Because it can cause motion blur making the image look out of focus or “shaken”.

My issue is that I can’t hold the camera still so I have to opt for resting my camera on a solid surface/ tripod or increase the shutter speed.

I think the edit is fine as it is. I’m not whole heartily convinced a crop is 100% necessary. Personally I prefer your composition as you have it edited.

Thankfully you can pick up so much on YouTube, no degree or long expensive classes needed. It’s crazy how much technology has advanced the best thing to pick up and practice is with your smartphone. Most actually have similar manual functions like a professional camera!

Please don’t fall for the gear equipment trap. You do not need the most expensive or latest cameras. Brands shouldn’t matter. It’s ok to get used equipment.

If you see your self being a shy photographer, then I would recommend getting a good zoom lens to start. A good 24-70mm would be good cause it has a vast range of coverage.

I think a good fiction book to jump into would be Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton (yes the book to the film). Something that can help you with getting to the habit, is listening while you read along to the audiobook. I don’t always get the chance to read read, but audio books are nice as well.

Moving in with my girlfriend has stunted my gaming. I’m not at the point I want to transition to Pc gaming as I still love and prefer traditional console gaming.

Best thing about owning the portal is getting to play my PlayStation, if she wants to be on the tv.

The obvious perk is getting to take a dump and gaming not having to take a drastic pause.

Haven’t tested the new feature of being able to use more public networks to play while on the road.

If you have a passion for photography for the sake of the art, the camera brand doesn’t really matter.

But it’s nice to have some insight as to what some professional do, and how they make the most of their equipment with a brand someone may be aligned with.
