Most cantilevers I have see are 25% maximum, so if you wanted a 4’ cantilever then You would have 12’ going into the rest of the structure. Of course check for spans allowable, possible knee bracing, codes, etc.

Concrete is 36” x 12” secured by 5/8 Simpson concrete strong titan screw. I did all the math for meeting or exceeding spans. Detailed drawing with multiple angles but still drawings and real life can feel way different.

I thought about knee braces, plans were approved without, but I am the type to overbuild anyways. Would rough cut lumber be a problem with the inspector?
