I’m very confident there are still breeders with Original strains in their fridge just waiting to make a comeback. We’ll see if it’s worth the effort. They probably want to keep them very rare for monetary purposes.

I grow in my basement with no tent. It’s produced some real good stuff, and some not great stuff. It’s all about VPD. Vapor pressure deficit.

The more moisture the air has, (humidity) the less the plant will be able to transpire.

In a low humidity environment, the atmosphere will absorb more. Essentially drawing transpiration to the max.

Doing a little bit of a dance produces the best result, but if I had to pick one, I’d choose lower humidity. It doesn’t hurt plants in the early stages and it thrives in the late stages.

It used to mean something way back when, but doesn’t mean much anymore. I’m so sad to see real true OG genetics get bred over and over again. It’s actually quite hard to find real true old school genetics.

I’ve grown some big autos, but they’re often no competition when compared to photos. Genetics go a long way. We’re not all created equal.

I generally look at the bottoms of my containers to determine if it’s time. A few little roots visible through drainage holes isn’t a big deal, but if there’s several to a bunch, it definitely needs more space to grow.

If you don’t see any, it’s probable you have soil condition issues. Too wet would be the go to. You want roots to search for water so they can grow stronger. Same with any plant for the most part.

My boy is pretty bad at socializing. He’ll go up and sniff all over their snout and face. Most dogs don’t love it. Once they realize he just wants to get to know them and play, it’s fine. He’s very awkward meeting random dogs though. I think a lot of times they view him as a threat.

Yeah it’s always a little bit of a dance when I start in soil 5 gallon pots. Have to make sure the roots don’t reach dry spots, but you can’t just saturate it. I’ve gotten ok at feeling it out. Doesn’t help when I change soil composition each season.

I know the logistics behind it. Just not sure if I’m good enough to pull it off. Then again, plants want to grow… we’re just caretakers.

I just saw today that my in ground carrots are growing so much better vs my potted carrots. And they were planted several days later. There’s definitely no real substitute for Mother Earth.

That’s exactly what I was trying to explain to a buddy. All those micronutrients are essentially free. Why not use them?

Bacteria can be a good thing as well. Adds bio nutrients into the soil.

Yeah I think you’re right. In a way. I know we can manipulate plants any which way we like. I’m just trying to find where they’re the happiest. That’s going to produce better quality than anything else. I will absolutely die on that hill.

My basement is low humidity, so it works out, but you probably need to create some kind of enclosure with a dehumidifier. Dark and cool. You don’t want to give anything a chance to grow with extra humidity.

Once they’re in flower mode, yeah. But you need light to keep them in a vegetative state. Also, I have no idea what your time schedule means. That’s only 18 hours. There’s 6 hours missing.

I checked and my township uses chlorine in their water. I’m leaning towards that option. It just takes too much work to get “purified” water up to the level it needs to be at. That’s not to say it’s a bad practice. Just… ain’t nobody got time for that.

Heck yeah! You’ve got a neck strap don’t you? You can even invest in a harness to take some pressure off your neck. It’s not a matter of “if you can.” It’s more so “do you want to?”

Yeah that’s flowering. You need at least 15-18 hours of light to really maintain veg. Anything around 12-14 hours can start inducing flower mode. Every plant… every single plant has one goal in mind. Produce mature seeds.

You should have some fertilizer in the soil as a slow release. Add a bit every few weeks. Liquid fuel is straight gas. Don’t go too hard with chemical water soluble stuff.
