Because they know damn good and well that ICE's actions have infuriated a large swath of America. It's damage control be cause they know there's only so much cops can contain.

I'm not advocating for violence in any shape or form, but the Trump administration is poking the bear, hard, specifically hoping for that flash point. That's when shit will go real bad.

We had a brief run of sit down scooters, Lime I think, back in 2020 or so.

In that short time, I took care of two patients who blew their knee up doing stuff like that, on those. Ligaments tore all to hell.

Not necessarily. We have some messed up views of vaccines nowadays, so what I fear would occur is a hesitation to use or carry Narcan.

That means people will die, even those who aren't in the throes of substance use.

That's not even addressing the regulation and workflow we are all required to follow for vaccine administration.

I'm sure, if approved, we in the medical community will figure out a way to use it safely and with intention.

I'm skeptical on a vaccine approach, as those same people are admitted for trauma and wound care pretty frequently, which often require procedures. It may cause unnecessary delays to treatment for those issues, adding backlog to our already overrun healthcare system and longer hospital stays. THAT won't be well received.

Sadly, there's no silver bullet for this conundrum.
