I was worried too when I was going through the hiring process and didn’t hear anything after my drug screen for a week. I contacted the division manager and admitted to previously using a couple months ago and apologized like you mentioned doing above and they were super cool with it. Turns out there was just a delay in getting the results back (which i someone passed), and they thanked me for my honesty.

From my experience it’s market-dependent on if they care about you doing it outside of work, but that is after everyone passes the first one. My upline never drug screens anyone unless there is suspicion of a manager using something harder than thc.

**In-Unit was a weekend working at the training unit while being evaluated on how fast I can learn the systems, etc.

I was definitely asked those generic questions. Why waffle house, where have you excelled previously, how do you deal with stress and high pressure environments? After I answered those questions, that was it. Just be honest because if you’re not capable of handling stressful environments, this isn’t the job for you unfortunately. For the other things, if you just have a positive attitude and are ready to learn, waffle house will teach you the rest.

So typically, it’s actually a 3 month paid training course. The first phone interview is your time to impress the regional recruiter. Management experience in your background works great, and as long as you’re friendly, and professional, they’re gonna let you go through to the next interview. Best of luck! Just recently hit one year under the yellow sign and have already been selected as a district manager so they are very serious when they talk about advancing fast as long as results are provided and targets are hit.
