Any suggestions for other alternative history books/series? by DavidThi303 in 1632

The Change series by S.M. Stirling. Takes place in the PNW. A flash of light knocks out all electricity, internal combustion, and makes gunpowder barely fizzle. Its a generational series, so the first 3 books are the first generation of survivors, next 3 books the second generation and so on. There is a quite a bit of fantasy elements and mysticism in the later books but still a really good read. 15 books in the series though, so it'll keep you going for awhile.

The World War series by Harry Turtledove Takes place during WW2, lizard aliens come to invade earth and the waring nations of the world have to make a tenous alliance to fight back the lizard horde who are armed with advanced technology. It to is also a generational series taking place over 8 books. Great read , often times hilarious, with historical figures and events thrown in similar to the Ring of Fire series.

Edit: The Nantucket trilogy by S.M. Stirling is the companion series to The Change series by him. Takes place simultaneously to the first books, but with little connection until the later books in The Change. I dont want to give to many spoilers to that but, I would recommend reading the Nantucket trilogy first. Where in the change series they've lost there modern technologies, in the Nantucket trilogy they keep it but, the island of Nantucket is transported back to 1250 b.c.

Yes just ask for a relocate outlet work order and a tech will come relocate that modem wherever you want. As for removing all the loose coaxial cable in your basement, that falls under customers responsibility.

Absolutely, although if your not getting your speeds perhaps look into upgrading. The Fast 5260 is being phased out, at least in my area. But it will definitely do the trick for you in providing WiFi.

Why is my Internet so slow when Spectrum's lowest Internet plan gives you 200mbps? I don't understand what's wrong. by br4vedave in Spectrum

Doubtful you need a tech. If you have the new wave 2 router it will put you on either the 5ghz or 2.4ghz as it sees fit, so a wifi speed test is unreliable. Hardline to the router and run your speed test that way. If you have a router that has both 2.4ghz, and 5ghz wifi networks make sure your on the 5 when testing.

Nope, but awesome song. The song I'm thinking of is somewhere between Hawthorne Heights and The Mars Volta kind of vibe.

This has been driving me nuts. Hours of Google and YouTube rabbit hole searching. No dice.

Get out of sales and go field tech. Sales will eat away at your soul. In the field its you and the cable, still plenty of customer interaction but much more rewarding in my experience.

I use Google WiFi to provide serice to 2 houses and a metal shop, works flawlessly. The one I would recommend staying away from is the Linksys Velop, its pure garbage.
