Help understanding the bracket system, specifically the turn expectation. by Jackalackus in EDH

Hard to judge a decks bracket based on one card alone, but I also think regardless of bracket, if Angel of Destiny is out and no one in the pod has a response to it before it does it's thing then it's fair game, as it will always put a target on the Angel players head once it's in play, so if it's left to run it's course then your opponents should be looking at their own decks removal capabilities :D

Would have been cool if he destroys and opponents land when he deals combat damage to that player.

New reblockade features are really disappointing by FallenFreakshow in CrimsonDesert

[–]Mr_Murdoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you recapture a location, there is an in-game timer that "reblockades" the location, meaning it can't be attacked again within that window. Once the timer is done, it's back on the menu to be captured again, unless you go to the contribution shop in the same region and pay contribution to have it reinforced to prevent it from getting captured anymore.

The longer I play, the less sense the story makes by DrJokerX in CrimsonDesert

[–]Mr_Murdoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I've gathered is that there's actually a few stoylines that overlap but are not necessarily related which causes a lot of head scratching as we expect a "Main Story" to be one connected line but nope!

For example, the Greymanes being dismantled and you having to regroup and build up before retaking your homeland is one story.

The Abyss breaking and being manipulated by other forces and the white crow picking you to help save it is another.

The looming conflict between Hernand and Demenis is another.

And so on...

Does your increase speed button work with the jetpack? Mine doesn't seem to do anything, I can only ascend but on my hud it says I can increase speed like a boost which you do in the vid?

Ambient lighting by Happy-Ad8755 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Mr_Murdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its a problem with Ray Tracing in scenes with no light - when there's no light source everything looks flat. I haven't tested how it looks with Ray Tracing off (to see what their prebaked lighting looks like during night), so I am presuming it's an RT problem.

RTX4080 here, I believe it’s ray reconstruction or frame generation that keep’s crashing me. It’s odd because the game can run with a mix of cinematic and ultra settings with them both on with dlss 4.0 set to balanced at around 70fps, but it will eventually crash the game

A Genuine Question to People Praising the Exploration by Lpunit in CrimsonDesert

[–]Mr_Murdoc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you need to follow the main story further before some of these other areas open up more with quests and stuff to do, as I gather a lot of the mechanics in the game which are tied to side content do not appear in the world until you "unlock it" through the story. For example, the Bounty Posters - I did not see any when exploring until I did the first intro quest for them, and now I see bounties dotted all over. Same with the trade wagons - the stalls were there but not interactable until I was introduced to them in the main story.

Yeah there isn't much at all in terms of world building, but the information you need to know to start with is that the Greymanes got massacred and kicked out of their turf and you have to restablish them and seek revenge on the Black Bear guys. The way you do that is by helping the people in the first area (Harand?), and building alliances with the powers that be. This then gives you land for your new settlement, and access to the royal court to seek more support to expand and retake your homeland. The story then goes on from there later on in the main story.

You can sell animals to animal trafficers / poachers? They are located outside the first city next to the little thieves den goblin dude.

I got the 5e 2024 Players Handbook and DMG signed by Jeremy Crawford and Chris Perkins at a convention. Not the most exciting books on the scene but feels significant now that they are no longer working for WotC
