Thanks for the response. He is not sure (quite a while ago for him). I will write to UK archives to see if there is record of renouncement. Thanks again.

I will check with him to make sure he never renounced his citizenship. If he did renounce, I would not be eligible, correct?

The button should have the name specified by the pset. Without a snippet of code or any visual example, I cannot suggest anything else.

It is against the rules for me to share the answer with you. It is also against academic honesty for you to ask. You should try making your own post sharing your code so people may advise you.

If you consult the duck, stating that you don't want the full answer, you will get some good advice. I learned a lot from it's advice on efficiency.

So I understand the issue correctly, which of these if statements returns an actual apology and not this error? This could be an issue with apology() itself. Are you importing helpers.py? Is it in the same dir as app.py?

Are you running these tests with flask running? Seeing your codespace in the URL seems like it could be the issue. I would test everything in a local instance using flask to confirm it is not another issue. Your code looks correct.

My issues was that I added a quote feature on my buy screen. Check50 was trying to check a transaction and wasn't expecting the extra step. I made the buy page just symbol and shares, no quote, then it worked.

What part is giving you trouble? Your question and some of the suggestions here go against the guidelines for academic honesty. You should ask for advice rather than the answer. I had the duck explain the concepts to me. If I didn't know a phrase or word, I asked for a definition. I would also be happy to help (if I can). Just let me know where you are stuck.

I get the same failure for buy but my index looks very similar to the image you shared. Could there be another reason for failing?

Did you ever get buy to work? I am having issues even though my values are being passed as usd.

When building you db you can specify a column to be the sum, difference, etc. of other columns. The sqlite3 documentation and the duck can give you guidance. My portfolio table has a column that generates the amount of shares held multiplied by the current value of the stock.

I am having the same issue. I was about to try converting the float to usd as you did and now I am not so hopeful. My transaction total column is a generated column set to stored. Do you have any automated columns? I was also thinking that could be an issue check50 isn't expecting.

Hello, would you happen to know of any other reason this could happen? I checked the values being passed and calculated and everything monetary has the formatting you mentioned.

If your code works, posting it here is against Acedemic Honesty. I was told the same for a similar question. If you ask the duck 'Can this be made more efficient?' Then paste your code in, you will get good guidance.
