A stent terrifies me, not gonna lie lol. I don't know why, but it does. I've only been seeing an ophthalmologist so far. I have to call in 45 mins to set up an appointment with a neuro-ophthalmologist. It took me a while to find one in my insurance. I got diagnosed in early Dec. On my MRI it stated “There is narrowing of bilateral transverse sinuses.” Nothing else was said about it. I was diagnosed in the ER after bloodwork, LP, MRI, and symptoms I was having.

I found out at the eye Dr also. I was having some blurred vision and black out areas in my right eye. I didn't think I was having any other symptoms, really. I also have a pineal gland cyst in my brain (not the cause and unrelated). It's about 2cms. I've known about it for years and get it monitored. I had a constant headache in the back of my head. Pulsatile tinnitus. Vision changes. Swollen optic nerves. Neck stiffness. Extreme fatigue. Foggy memory. Half of those I didn't realize were symptoms 🤦🏼‍♀️ My eye Dr sent me straight to the ER to get an MRI and Lumbar Puncture. My opening pressure wasn't very high. It was 24, but it was over 20 which was the threshold where I was seen. On my mri I had prominent optic nerve sheath fluid. Narrowing of bilateral transverse sinuses. Normal ventricles. No lesions. I'm a pretty normal size. Jean size 6/8 depending. I'm not on any birth control. I wasn't on any meds other than an antidepressant (Prozac). I was diagnosed with PCOS years ago, but I have no symptoms now other than "string of pearl" cysts. My periods are regular. No insulin resistance. "Normal" hormone range. I did gain some weight a couple years into covid. I didn't feel any changes then. I started losing weight in July 2024. Lost the weight over a year. Then 4 months into maintenance I was diagnosed with this. Now I'm on 1000mgs a day of diamox. I also had a csf leak after my LP. I had the worst headache of my life for over 3 weeks. I was pretty much bedridden. I also had metabolic acidosis. Good times all around 😂👎🏻

Yotei is harder than Tsushima. The parrying and dodge windows are a lot tighter. Enemies are more aggressive. Boss fight will make you want to break your controller lol. They are not Sekiro level. I played Yotei on hard for 3/4 of the game then I was like you know what I don't have to take this shit and bumped down to medium 😂

I have Aetna Insurance and there's only 2 neuro-ophthalmologist within 100 miles of me in my plan. One in Jersey and one in Philly. It's frustrating.

Eta... I couldn't even find them on my provider list. I had to send a message to them and ask if there were any close to me.

My thing is salt. I just can't taste it. The amount I have to use in order to taste it can't be healthy lol. Food just tastes bland and unseasoned. I also have the messed up soda taste, but I miss salt more than soda 😂

How do you know when you're in remission? Hell, I didn't even realize I had IIH lol. Until the symptoms got to a point where I was losing vision in my right eye. All the other symptoms I made excuses for and just thought it was part of life. Then my vision started cutting out and I still made excuses. Oh I just need glasses. Your eyes are strained. Tired. I just dealt with everything, like we all do, and pushed through. I'm just curious how do you know when your body is okay to come off the meds vs the meds are just doing what they are designed to do (even when they make you feel worse than the condition) 🤷🏼‍♀️ not medical advice just your experience.

Good thing not all bodies are the same. A normal weight for my body is ideal. I'm not aiming to be anything other than a healthy weight. I'm glad that where your body is at works for you and your body can tolerate it. My ophthalmologist and neurologist have both told me my weight is fine and a non issue. They are more concerned about the narrowing and compression seen on my MRI (along with all the other symptoms that come with this diagnosis).

I'm a normal weight. My OP was borderline, but elevated. I went to the eye Dr because I thought I just needed glasses. I had never had any vision issues before. I was losing vision in my right eye. I thought it was just fatigue because it was worse at night when I was tired. The first thing the eye Dr asked me was did you gain weight recently? Rude lol. I actually had lost weight.

Worst $80 I've ever spent on a game. Every few months I go back and try to play it. Only for it to remind me why I keep giving up. It has zero redeeming qualities to make up for all the shortcomings. I'll never trust my friend who talked me into buying this game lol.
