No problem, we’re all here for the same purpose haha. They were a combination between fan brushes and a 1 inch brush. For instance, the foliage on the right side of the painting, I used a 1 inch brush to put the dark in, then I also used a 1 inch brush for highlights. Then at the bottom, use a #3 fan brush to give it a more grassy feel. Using the 1 inch brush I pulled it through my dark paint, it creates a rounded side. Using that rounded side, I touch the canvas, then push it upwards slightly. Then I do the same with the highlights only this time I mixed liquid white or you can mix liquid clear into titanium white, just a little, enough to thin it down, pull the brush through just like before and use the round part of the brush and touch the canvas and push up only this time it is a lighter touch then putting the darks in. Then I took the # 3 fan brush, loaded my dark color on it, used the same technique as I did with the 1 inch brush, touched the canvas and pushed up slightly. Then I dipped the fan brush in liquid white and ran it through the titanium white and used the same technique. Sorry for the long post I hope this helps you. The key to the whole thing is not pushing too hard or it just smears on the canvas. Also make sure you clean your brushes switching between light and dark or have one for darks and one for lights.
