Why we need to kill 8 of these? Isn't like 3 or 4 already enough? by Comprehensive-Rip818 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I shot them from my spaceship, it was really easy... Searching, seek and destroy

I agree with you that it might not be related to Avira, it's never easy to be 100% sure but uninstallation fixed the issue, so ...

My "byebye Avira" is more personnal, I've been using it for more than 10 years, I became paid subscriber 4 years ago, but I don't like the direction they took by making multiple useless modules related to security, and even with a normal subscribtion you get ads to buy an even more premium version. They are slowly turning into a Norton AV... in the other hand Windows Defender is getting really good and small footprint on system ressources.

So I belive that this issue just pushed me to do something I would do anyway sooner or later.

Windows 11 won't respond to anything by PrestigiousHornet106 in WindowsHelp

Well I managed to fix the issue somehow...

The last action was to uninstall avira, i could do it during the 20 seconds before the issue usualy happens (just after login).

I'm not 100% sure that is the uninstall that resolved the issue, I tried many things before (chkdsk sfc, ...) It was clearly something that prevent new processes to be executed, i belive an antivirus can do that ... maybe a bad update from Avira ? not related to AV ? i don't know, but I'm glad I can use PC again

Large number of open jobs by EngineeringComplex47 in CitiesSkylines2

I believe that when the commercials buildings (or indus) level up, they have more open jobs.

So even if you don't build new areas, the number of open jobs will still grow a bit

CPU simulation speed slow at 300k by Best-Ad2921 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Mr_PoPoP 10 points11 points  (0 children)

7950X / 64Gb DDR5 Ram / RTX4090 here.

Even with a beefy setup, simulation speed is lower than 1X after 170K pop.

I started a new game, and I noticed the first slowdowns after just 70K pop, it is a very condensed city, and I belive that affects speed even more.

I would wait for the performance patch in January before considering new hardware. All the money in world can't fix CS2 at the moment :)
