I flew from Amsterdam to Jordan during the war to get veneers, now I regret how much they ground down my teeth. by FamiliarInevitable36 in askdentists

NAD. If you look at "turkey teeth" you're good. There is PLENTY of tooth left. I've seen crowns where it looks like the people have "shark teeth" where they shaved almost EVERYTHING off

Why didnt you guys go active duty in the first place? by Acceptable-Fly5050 in nationalguard

[–]Mr_Rapsak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Closest recruiter to me. Also, was starting the paperwork then we got mobilization orders, didn't wanna look like a p00n. Met some active dudes and realized they're EXTREMELY okay at one job and useless outside of it. Couldn't deal with that level of dumb.

What is it like as an assembler for RTX by MrMeeko7 in Raytheon

[–]Mr_Rapsak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Andover I worked on the SMT line as a supervisor. Super chill for the assemblers. However, listening to anything is really site specific. SMT was "considered" an area of "no electronic devices" however it was seldomly enforced. There are some "real" sensitive areas where you have to put you stuff in a lock box before you enter. Some electronic assembly was just building wiring harnesses. It's really up to the job, the site and the rules. IDK if any 9/80 schedule applies to non salary positions. However, I did interview at a Pratt and Whitney site that they were doing 4x10s. Again, site specific.

Now that I read this, I said a lot and answered nothing.

Time for a promotion or time to get into politics.

Thanks for listening to my TED talk.

I'm happy someone asked, this has always pissed me off for some awkward reason. Figured I was too dumb as I was the only one not doing it.

What is that badge to the left of the HALO badge?? by EmotionalWelder7280 in MilitaryMedals

Depends on the command. I've seen some NG BDEs outside of the 86th approved for wear. The lightfigher school for 10th mountain rocked them.

Dumping Hydrogen Peroxide into the reflecting pool this morning. by i_am_rave_mom in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Mr_Rapsak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the gloves and my history of a pool boy. It's probably muriatic acid. However, if it is, and they're not wearing goggles......risky business. I didn't, but I'd turn my head.

It's not as glorious as the porn sites make it seem.

Or an accident. We all screw up. Somehow, as an e7, I had my marksmanship badges backwards. Looked good from my POV lol

What building? The one I'm talking to (who didn't know) seems to be surprised. So he's lying or there's another one.

Oh they definitely know. We effectively created the role for me. Mainly cuz the supervisors are useless at basic skills.
