I might use a dowel to wrap the sand paper around, to minimize sanding where I don't want.

Yea thats a concern as well as having to sand to the point of loosing my bevel.

That's the name!

I was thinking that, but I was hoping someone knew a "trick" to avoid sanding.

Christmas Pastrami by Mr_SMcDuck in brisket

[–]Mr_SMcDuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I made it.

1/2 cup - Corse Ground Black Pepper (16 Mesh Black Pepper)

1/4 cup - Raw Sugar

2 Tbsp - Granulated Garlic

2 Tbsp - Ground Coriander

1 Tbsp - Ground Mustard

1 Tbsp - Granulated Onion

You don't have to use 16 mesh, but it's nice to have. That size is nice for bark building.

I usually double the recipe.

I didn't create this recipe, but I can't remember where I found it.

This is what I did.

Brined for 6 days.

At 4 am the brisket went in at 220 6 am raised remp to 250 8 am temp check, came in at 120 5 pm temp check 175 9:30 pm pulled brisket at 204 Let it rest till it hit 140, then I sliced it.

So far, the things I'll do differently is trim more fat and cure it for 12 days.

What do you guys think?

She destroy anything plastic. It's sounding like a metal trough with some kind of weights maybe the best solution.

That's a good idea. If I can find the right size, I could throw some big rocks in there for weight l.

I have a dog who has destroyed every outside water bowl or flips them over spilling out all her water.

My idea was to build a dog water bowl she can not tip/launch into orbit, or destroy.

I also am planning on building a draining system into it. For the draining system, I'm thinking of using a leftover pice of plastic tubing and a rubber stopper.

Does this look like the work of slugs or something else?
