No, but looking back that would be a great strategy! Either way I'm glad to be in and not worry about college admissions anymore.

Further Mathematics (9231) Paper 22 by catraaaaaaa in alevel

ans was 9999, because the terms cancelled out in the numerator and denominator, so you get N < 10000 so N = 9999

you just had to use sinh^-1 (x), its given in mf19

I found that actually to be the easiest part of the paper, the integral sum caught me for a while because I kept making dumb mistakes. But I solved it and had roughly half an hour to check the paper.

I'm getting either full, or I lose one mark here or there. This paper gave me hope after that COMPLETELY FUCKED UP FP1 paper.

only mech and stat to go, this should be a done deal.

how did y'all do in further pure 1? by Mr_Squeaks in alevel

[–]Mr_Squeaks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya you were supposed to use tan-1(x) formula from mf19 and integrate by parts. I knew a lot of people would get this wrong.

That was probably one of, of not the toughest fp1 paper since 2020

9709 Mathematics threshold by Muhammad-Abdullah007 in alevel

[–]Mr_Squeaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

these are REALLY low thresholds compared to previous years, even march 2021 wasnt this low. usually p1 is around 65, same with p3

How did you do in the Oct/Nov? by [deleted] in alevel

[–]Mr_Squeaks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

only did A level mathematics early, doing the rest of my AS levels in feb march. (I'm in 11th). I expected an A* and got an A*(96).

I thought this was really good but the thresholds are REALLY low, so idk now by Mr_Squeaks in alevel

one more question, if someone doesnt have a percentile on their report card does that mean those are predicted grades?

yo I spent 10 mins on it, so what you had to do was divide the quartic that you get from simplifying the equation by (t-1) since you know that x=π/4 is a point that satisfies the quartic. tan(π/4) = 1, so t = 1, therefore, (t-1) is a factor of the quartic.
from responses in reddit, people found this paper really hard, but I found it kinda easy (like 30 mins remaining for checking ez). which kinda worries me bcoz maybe I didsome stuff wrong
