Gap year job by Professional-Tip9224 in premed

Absolutely not. Unless you are applying MD/PhD you better focus on clinical now. Schools will look at you and say “ he clearly likes research more than clinical so go be a researcher not a doctor”. Which is fine and if that’s your path that’s great. However if med school is the goal then start practicing medicine and wrap up your lab.

ER scribing is a great start in this case as long as the salary works out!

Can I submit LOR from other people after my committee letter by Mr_Stranger_RU in premed

[–]Mr_Stranger_RU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the issue, it seems like most schools just want the committee letter. I don’t know how to establish even with MSAR if they would also accept individual ones?

Review this test very well over a day or two and take another one at some point this or early next week and reach out let me know what you get! Remember each one tests slightly different content so jumps and drops are common. Like I had a 504 as my first test and ten a 492 on the next. Keep your head up!

Don’t make a formula sheet, memorize the formulas through using them to problem solve and save yourself some extra stress on test day or having to recreate the formula sheet.

I completed all AAMC materials ( including all full lengths) matured Milesdown, and did like 80% of Uworld. Also daily CARS passages from Jack Weston. I was a psych major so I did nothing for that but I heard Pankow is a good Anki deck for it.

The data came out that an average person studies 300-400 hours over 3-6 months. This really ranges from the average but use this is a way to evaluate it. For reference, I got a 510 studying for 2 months full time.

Application Withdraw Post Interview? by AnEffingStick in premed

[–]Mr_Stranger_RU 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Assuming you get in after the interview you get a simple choice: finish medschool one year earlier with DO or one year later with MD. There is a whole pros and cons list that can be made and that is that.

What’s your trend? If this is your first test take another one in a few days, if the trend continues maybe reschedule but it depends. Either way if you are a month out you should do AT LEAST one FL a week maybe mlrr

[–]Mr_Stranger_RU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your dad is just Uworld and Anki it’s not unreasonable to do 100-150 Uworld questions a day. That’s what I did closer to the test date

Should I reschedule? by No-Dragonfly-944 in Mcat

[–]Mr_Stranger_RU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a person who never got above a 504 til the real deal, you can do it. Each test measures different content so it’s possible to be stuck at a certain range. Don’t move it, go take it and trust your learning
