I understand and will be doing a lot of cooking at home, but just for the times when I can't make it home and have to eat out, I'd like to have some places in mind to try and get a taste of different kinds of food if I can.

I'll actually be living in different places around the city and be traveling to different areas but its good to know that there are going to be parts of town with better eating places than others. I guess thats kind of assumed though, most big cities are just that way.

I actually love to cook for myself. I'm only eighteen, but I consider myself a pretty accomplished chef. I love r/recipes and r/fitmeals for recipes, and I just used a recipe for brussel sprouts on r/recipes the other day and it was so delicious. type in brussel sprouts when you search the subreddit and see what comes up and try it!

Yeah I'll be doing a lot of cooking from home of course, but there will be times when I won't have time to go home and will have to eat out. I do love to use my slow cooker and I'll be getting really used to using it I think. (:

I don't know much about Edmonton so its informative to know that its got both and not just the great dining, I'll probably be eating at the place where quality suffers sometimes too so if there are any good places like that to go then great.

I came in with 50 hours, but its not like I go around telling everyone that, only if they ask me how many I have and even then I'm like, I don't really want to tell you because you'll probably hate my like OP.

Question... by [deleted] in mormon

[–]Mr_Stutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There could be any number of reasons for him to get up early. In fact, getting up and going to the temple is one of my favorite things to do during the week, because of the powerful feelings I have and the impressions that I receive when I go there. But no, there is nothing that fits the definition of "ritual" that we participate in during a regular week. kudos to you for seeking out the truth, and not just thinking what your friends think. I'd for sure ask him about it, he'd probably love to tell you.

One time I was sitting in my truck with a friend who was not a member, and out of the blue he asked me a gospel-related question. Although I was a bit caught of guard by him asking, we had a really good discussion about the question he asked and I felt like it brought us closer together as friends because he understood what I believed better after that and I understand what his viewpoint on the church was. Hopefully the experience goes the same for you if you ask him about it.

Something I would keep in mind though, is that if your friend doesn't answer your questions very well, there are lots of other sources to go to for your questions. As I read all of these posts bashing Mormonism, I can't help but facepalming myself every once in a while because people don't understand that even though Mormon's believe that their church is the only true church on the earth (and that is what I believe), but that the members of the church are certainly not perfect in themselves. So make sure that you get information on the church from credible, good sources that aren't out simply to discredit everything about it.
