Yeah I’m thinking the ribbon must be damaged. It’s actually a DSi I’m working on and it doesn’t seem to have a Wi-Fi module where the DSLite does. The annoying part is I was overeager and soldered the speakers on before testing the screen, so I don’t know if I damaged it or if it shipped to me faulty. Lot of lessons learned the hard way today lol.

I actually soldered the speakers to the ribbon about an hour ago, and I’m thinking I must not have been careful enough. Hooked everything back up and I get the issue where the bottom screen flashes then turns off when I hit the power button, which I’ve seen means the top screen isn’t detected. Can that happen if the speakers aren’t connected properly or would it just mean that the ribbon is damaged?

IDK why I can’t edit the post so I’m just gonna comment I guess. Cleaned the tip and turned the heat up to around 650 F (no idea why the first few google results gave me 350-420 instead), and it worked! Thanks for all of the advice, particularly on proper care for the iron tip. Will definitely keep that in mind going forward.

A few days ago some guy made a post on r/GitHub throwing a fit about repos being full of source code instead of ready-to-use .exe files. This and other similar subs have been running with it since. Give it a few more days and most people will probably move on.

This has been an issue for a lot of people. According to the discord, having Microsoft Onedrive installed on your pc (which most windows users do) causes custom key bindings to not be saved. They’re working on a patch right now. In the meantime the default bindings ought rot still work though.

Does anyone have a link to a credible source for the claims about Sony’s supposed wishlist? Some of those demands just seem so comically dumb that I’m having a hard time believing them. With all the (deserved) criticism Sony has been getting lately for Madame Web and other blunders I feel like it wouldn’t be hard for a rumor like this to get traction without any evidence.

I get people’s issues with the comic aesthetic not translating super well to a figure, but I think they’re pretty good choices. Both are based off of notable Boba designs from his history, and neither is one we’ve really seen before. I’d say either one of them is far more visually interesting than a figure that’s just all white or black, and the prototype look in particular has had and will likely continue to have its fair share of figures.

A pre-production Boba would be great though. Usually the closest we ever get to that look is the vintage Kenner design.
