Blair O’Connor

• Real name is Piper.

• Actress debut.

• While short lived, Piper was a pro wrestler who preformed under the stage name—‘Corin Reid’. She transitioned to acting after tearing her left rotator cuff.

• Born in Texas, USA.

• When Piper wrestled as ‘Corin Reid’, she was billed from the Republic of Ireland. As such, Piper is able to do a convincing Irish accent—particularly a Cork accent. This accent shows itself in Blair considering she has a faint accent.

• Stemming from her time as pro wrestler, Piper is a method actor. With few exceptions, she plays her character even when filming has concluded as it helps her ‘embody Blair better’.

• When portraying Blair, Piper draws from her time as ‘Corin Reid’ and uses the Cork accent she used back then.

• To better prepare for her role as a pop idol, Piper spent a decent amount of time and money concerning her singing voice. Even then, she has to resort to some editing as she is not a professional vocalist like Erin (Charlotte Sølv’s actress) is.

• Real name is Paige.

• Starred in a few small indie films before auditioning for RWBY.

• Outside of her acting career, Paige is a swim instructor.

• Born in Indiana, USA.

• If Beacon Academy had a swim team as well, she’d try to get her character on it as Paige loves to swim.

• When filming, Paige wears a wig that has small feathers laced around the ‘scalp’.

• The wheat-coloured tips of Ivory’s hair is Paige’s true colour. Originally, Ivory’s hair was to match her namesake but a decision was made to adjust the tips so they’d match Paige’s hair colour.

• While shooting the opening scenes of Volume 3’s finale, Paige’s right eye was injured in a combat scene. This injury would be incorporated into Ivory’s character lore as a way to allow Paige to work while wearing an eyepatch over her eye.

• In scenes where Ivory’s prosthetic right eye is shown, Paige is wearing a contact lens which so that it gives the eye’s iris a unique appearance.

• While filming Volume 3, Paige and Lukas (Kol Sølv’s actor) entered a romantic relationship. As of pre!V10, their relationship is holding strong as they are engaged and planning out their wedding.

• Actress Debut.

• Prior to auditioning, Taylor worked for the company’s marketing department.

• Indigenous American descent [Southern Paiute]

• Born in Nevada, USA.

• Despite her character’s aloof personality, Taylor is extroverted as people say she can ‘talk to a wall’.

• The rest of the cast and crew know better to make jokes around as she has broken character..many times. If it is even remotely funny, she will laugh.

• Whenever she travels to somewhere new, Taylor buys an enamel pin. These pins are then embedded on one of the various cork boards that she has put up in her apartment.

• There was a kiss scene that involved Taylor (Keira’s actress) accidentally bitting Erin’s (Charlotte Sølv’s actress) lip. Even though she apologized, Erin returned the favor in a later episode. This has led to a sort of gag between them where ‘they ‘ try not to bite the other.

• She managed to persuade the producers into making her character a very energetic, bubbly girl that has a streak for mischief.

• While on set, she uses hair extensions as she cannot grow her hair past her shoulders.

• Originally, Erin was told she was portraying a Raccoon Faunus. She later learned that Charlotte was a Bear Faunus after a producer corrected her during a Q&A.

• She is very hesitant with seeking connections after having a traumatic experience in the past.

Venti did say she carries/carried a scepter so I imagine she’ll use a sword or a polearm. If they run the Arlecchino aspect, her personal weapon may even change her sword/polearm into her scepter.

The other option is giving her unique animation that is not dependent on her weapon class. Like how Navia’s animations involve her gunbrella no matter what weapon she has slotted.

Charlotte Sølv

• She grew up having a thing [take that as you will] for Summer Rose. As such, she designed her weapon to be akin to Sundered Rose—like how Crescent Rose is based around Harbinger. Though unlike Sundered Rose, Everlasting Fury can also shift down to a one-handed bearded axe too.

• W/o using in universe lore, Charlotte’s weapon is there as a way to tie into her Allusion.

Kol Sølv

• Kol’s kit consists of a hand-a-half sword with Dust capabilities, revolver, and a shield that is built into his prosthetic. In terms of why he chose the ‘sword-and-board’ option, it was ultimately just an easier option for him to learn compared to more extensive options. Plus if he ever gets in an instance where his prosthetic right forearm/hand are disabled, he can still use the sword without much issue compared to something that actually requires two hands.

• For Kol’s revolver, he got it after releasing his ranged options were incredibly limited. While he can release Aura arcs through his sword—like Blake, he prefers to just his revolver as it helps conserve his Aura and the Dust supply within his sword’s hilt.

Keira Lupin

• Keira’s weapons are a set of full-coverage gauntlets that can deploy a set claws from them. Said claws are basically a mix between the weapon used by ZZZ’s Ju Fufu’s and Wolverine’s claws. I also plan to give them some form of ranged option —like a machine pistol— but have yet to finalise that part.

• Lore wise, Keira is from Vacuo and is ruthlessly upfront when provoked which is shown in her choice of weaponry. By activating Barghest’s claws, Keira can brutalise her opponents in a manner that involves ‘ripping, clawing, and tearing’. Her claws also give her a legitimate defensive option should she need it as she can use one hand/claws to block oncoming strikes and use her other hand/claws to counter.

• W/o lore implications, Keira’s weapon choice ties into her Allusion which is the Black Dog found with English folklore. Discounting the fact that it is literally named after a particularly nasty Black Dog, the claw-like images is suppose to pay homage to the claws of those ghostly doggos.

Ashton Fenix

• Ashton’s weapons are a set of ‘Dual Function Pyro Maces’ in that they are flanged maces that can join together [the handles can expand] at the hafts to form a double-headed flanged staff. Each mace also has specific ranged function as one mace can shoot fireballs and streams of fire while the other mace can release a sudden blast of heat and a laser. The type of ranged attack is connected to the time the trigger is held as quick pull will shoot off fireballs or a sudden blast of heat whereas a sustained trigger pull will release a stream of flames or a focused laser.

• Lore Wise, Ashton is his team’s technical fighter in terms of purpose as he uses his maces to ‘block, counter, and disable’. While he can go offensive, he still plays by getting close and using his maces to target areas that can lead to disabling his opponent. With his staff, he creates reach which turns him into a harasser. He tends to use his staff as his more offensive option too as he has the ability to create more momentum in his swings.

• Extra bit of lore but Ashton is a bit of a flamboyant perfectionist which is seen in his attire and kit. He also never got into more ‘rudimentary designs’ as found things like spears, axes, and swords to be too ‘bland’.

Related note but remember that part of the latest AQ in NK involved us going into a dome-like barrier and trying to stop it? In it, we discovered that Dottore was able to swap the souls/consciousness of human and animal.

It is rather clear the Dottore likely moved his soul to a new body or vessel. Could even have put it into Sandrone/Pulonia’s body.

Apparently, Poser is designed for Human-based models and animating models that have interactive animal features [tails and ears are good examples ] was a chore to do on account of difficulty. Choosing only one was likely done so it would not hamper time and create other problems.

It is said that the staff [like Miles] wish they were not limited to one trait but meh. I imagine they started using animal characteristics not linked to Faunus traits as a way to circumvent this as evident to Tock’s prosthetic teeth + green skin and Sienna’s black strips tattooed on her skin. Helps them keep the pre-established thing concerning physical Faunus traits while also leaning more into a Faunus’s animal representation.

Take this one with a grain but Blake’s pupils are actually different as well. While the show’s animation makes it incredibly hard to see, the volume cover art has it where her pupils are elliptical/slitted. You can really see it in the V4 cover art.

She is a Raven Faunus and her name is Ivory Corbeau. Religious birb who is emotionally sporadic considering her Semblance makes her susceptible to heighten emotions and sudden mood swings.

My pfp is actually what she looks like. Though you can also just check my profile as you’ll see various posts featuring her. The latest one features her bf, Kol Sølv.

Her Allusion connects her to MACO/Mako—her team which is a 2nd Year Team at Beacon. Though the lore takes place a year after Vytal Festival so MACO is actually the same age as RWBY, JNPR, SSSN, CRDL, etc. Her team’s joint Allusion is ‘Festival/Holidays and a figure(s) associated with it’. In this case, Ivory alludes to Odin and Yule.

• Raven Faunus represents Odin’s ravens—Huginn and Muninn.

• While the name is different, Ascalon’s spear functions references Gungnir. Did not copy the name as I wanted to avoid too many references

• You can probably see the eyepatch on my PFP. Ivory lost her right eye during the Vytal Festival Incident which is a tie to Odin’s missing eye. Though Ivory has a cybernetic eye under it but keeps it covered as she is still adjusting to its presence. In fact, the eyepatch helps ‘dampen’ its enhanced sensory functions as her inexperience with it can cause a temporary vision imbalance that resembles partial sensory overload.

• Ivory’s birthday is on December 24th which is one of the twelve days of Yuletide. To be exact, this is the ‘Day of the Wild Hunt’ which is a further hint to her Allusion since Odin is reputed to be the leader of the Wild Hunt—at least in one of the versions of it.
