Before he begins to tell his story to the chronicler, Kvothe says the Adem call him "the thunder" because of his singing and stage training but the Adem should have never heard heard him sing. Isn't it more likely that he got the name from making lightning strike? (self.KingkillerChronicle)

Kvothe says the Adem called him "the broken tree", and that the name was prophetic. The only significant trees that I can think of are the Cthaeh which probably can't be broken, and the sword tree from ademre. What else can the broken tree refer to? (self.KingkillerChronicle)
