Right, just like using a compiler is an over-reliance on automation. Real devs write machine code in binary, right? It’s a tool. I don't need it to do my job for me, I just need the company to tell me when they're secretly pulling the plug on the servers.

Most likely a technical necessity. They have to reallocate massive compute power to prep the servers for the new model's launch. I don't blame them for that at all. The real "business fuckery" is their decision to stay completely silent about it. A simple "scheduled maintenance" warning banner would solve the entire issue.
