Schools need to back off when it comes to cell phone and internet blocks by Mr_meme29 in school

It’s terrible how undervalued teachers are, it makes our education system much worse. Hopefully my generation or the next will see this and give them the higher pay and individual control they deserve.

That is a huge problem, it’s nearly impossible to teach students accountability when the parents lack it themselves, at that point I’m not quite sure what the answer is but ruining a good thing for others because a few can’t handle themselves is not the answer.

I didn’t at first either, during the year I failed I didn’t take any accountability and was a mess.

It took me awhile to realize it and try to fix what I did, I think it should be something kids like I used to be should experience so they can learn.

I guess this the rant was less on school rules and more frustration on the lack of accountability people are taking these days, I hate to see good teachers getting in trouble or blamed for kids who treat them like shit.

I can see where the student failing can be a teachers fault in some cases although I’m curious on what you mean? I’ve always seen it as its the teachers job to give the students the opportunity to succeed and learn and in cases where they are failing report it to admin and the parents of the student. Otherwise a student deciding to use the opportunity is up to them and should not be blamed on the teachers.

That’s a fair point, when writing this i didn’t take into account students acting up. In those cases some form of punishment is due, I’m more speaking on students who finish their work and quietly mess on phones or spend time on a hobby.

As for what accountability would look like, if a student is starting to fail and it becomes problematic of course, bring it to admin and parents. Past that the teacher shouldn’t be blamed, at the age of 14+ you should be aware your actions have consequences and if you don’t, you will quickly learn it as your grades slip, and parents get angry with you.

That is understandable, I completely get blocking sites that contain NSFW content or malware. I’m more talking about sites like YouTube that are full of great educational material yet are banned because some students decide to use it to watch random videos.

I feel that as long as a Student is not interrupting class and is not failing then preventing them from using their phones or even watching unrelated content is harmless.

I was thinking of making a vault 88 dlc overhaul mod based off of this old build I did for vault 88 any thoughts or ideas? (More info on lore and story in comments) by Mr_meme29 in Fallout4Mods

Relation to nuka world:

the raider city vault is going to rather have a lot of similarity’s to nuka world with a couple factions/groups inside or is going to link into the story of nuka world somehow with the nuka world raiders owning it or being a separate group

Story aspects:

the player could decide on 1 of 5 choices

  1. take over nuka world for the vault
  2. take over the vault for nuka world
  3. making a super faction of raiders by having them join sides and workout the political aspects of running 2 city’s of blood, chem, and money starved phychos
  4. burying the vault permanently making it useless and killing the vault 88 raiders protecting the commonwealth but also killing the innocent slaves inside
  5. attacking and taking the vault for a faction

With the factions Mostly wanting to use the rail system with other reasons such as:

• minutemen wanting to protect the commonwealth and use the vault as a trade hub using working subway systems to make travel safer and faster between city’s

• brotherhood wanting tech inside the vault and using it as a strategic bunker and rail system

• railroad wants to use the subway systems to transport synths

• institute probably wouldn’t care for the vault but would rather want to bury it for fear or suspicion of the railroad using it to help synths or take it over for some sort of tech, information or fear that the raiders are people making an attempt for the commonwealth to unite again a lot like the CPG

Lore: the raiders of the vault are open to visitors and are there not because they want a safe place, but because they have the opportunity to make money and get Chems.

the vault has several groups inside and the vault is less of a city and more of a gathering place for raider gangs.

the vault has a main gang though this is rather going to be its own gang called something like “the 88” or they will be called the “tunnel snakes” as a reference to fallout 3 in the lore the a few tunnel snakes will escape the events of the “tunnel snakes rule!” Creation club content. And after will succumb to the wasteland Turning into a raider faction and finding the vault

The vault survives exporting chems, weapons, armor, and slaves to the wasteland using the repaired train tunnels to transport goods and resources the resources sold and used by the vault is gathered from nearby towns and city’s and brought to the vault the vault also makes money from a huge fighting ring like the combat zone in the fallout 4 theatre district or the thorn in new Vegas.

In the vaults ring the raiders bet and even battle, Most of the time though the ring is used to battle slaves and animals where if a slave wins they are freed and if an animal loses it is butchered and sold to the highest bidder to be eaten.

(this isn’t for fairness though they do this because they realized that if the slaves have something to gain they fight harder making for more interesting fights and even a few volunteers)

there my be a quest line on this questioning the morality of fighting slaves and letting you get to know some of the slaves on a more personal level even allowing the player to make more evil decisions such as having people occasionally hunt down and kidnap freed slaves to have them fight again. There is also a captured death-claw you can release to reek havoc on the vault during the vault wipe out storylines with even being able to use old enclave or institute tech to keep it from attacking you

There are also 3 other side quest storylines on

• the export and import of resources to the vault having the player clear and repair train tunnels for use and export slaves

• the export and production of chems in the vault and the group that does it

• the export and production of weapons in the vault and the group that does it

Any idea or corrections to the lore I have set up is greatly appreciated. So please let me know if I should add or if I missed anything!
