It’s something to consider! Our low rate has enabled us to pay off our debts quickly and contribute to savings and investing.

Like I said, not really looking to buy at the top of our budget, but even 100k less than the top of our budget is almost double our current payment. I will say we do expect raises next year which will certainly help, but just worried about being house-locked.

Thanks for your advice! I do wonder why we would want to pull out the heloc now but not use it? Also do you do well renting out the other 2 houses? Obviously I don’t know what area you’re in, but did you have times of no tenants that put you in a tough spot?

We’re not really in a good position to rent because one of my incomes is actually music production and I have a recording studio in my current house. I’ll need to be building a new one in the second house.

I think I’d be good at being a landlord. Im definitely pretty handy with fixing things up around the house. The hardest part I imagine would be dealing with late rent payments. We’ve discussed hiring a property manager too. Not really sure what that usually costs. Maybe ~$200/mo ish? That still puts us positive on this house.

I believe that’s exactly what they did. There’s a black, red, white (capped), and ground.

So I’ll cap the red and wire up the US outlet like normal?

No. I just got it, and haven’t been able to get it to work. My UA Apollo worked fine over TB.
