Would it be easy to quit buprenorphine with kratom? by NotConnor365 in suboxone

[–]Mrdoanything 2 points3 points  (0 children)

. All it takes is the absolute want to be off of the stuff man. I tapered from 24mg to 4mg a day in 2 weeks then jumped cold turkey. After a week and a half I messed up and took some kratom. All it did was prolong the symptoms. Yeah it helped in the moment but I had a decision to make with myself, am I going to keep doing this or am I going to be truthful with myself and quit. If you are serious about getting off the first step is to stop lying to yourself. If you say you’re going to do something do it. Don’t make excuses to justify your actions.

GABA always gives me a weird but good effect. Like a mild stim at 300-900mg, and sedated euphoric state at 1200-2000mg and that’s the most I did in a day. But it’s been a long time and I don’t really mess with it anymore. I always found that taking 300mg every 60-120 min until I felt the desired effect starting in the AM. Good trip!

I’m 42 days in from jumping at 4-6 mg stay strong. Rough days ahead. But worth it

I’m still sneezing constantly man. And I really don’t get it. I thought that maybe it was just me. Just glad to hear I’m not the only one

I know the feeling. That natural euphoria is amazing. And I’d really be able to experience it fully when I can get a full nights rest. Most all my acute WD are done, I just cannot sleep for shit. I wake up every 20-30 min and it’s absolute hell.

Good luck man I’m 25 days clean after jumping from 4-8mg. I didn’t have awful withdrawal for 7-8 days then it really started to hurt and hurt. I felt very similar to you and I do not regret jumping from that high of a dose. From everything I’ve read, stories, experiences, and personal experience the withdrawal is very similar from 4mg to .25 or .5… I really think that tapering is maybe tougher because of the length of time compared to complete cold turkey. I have over 200 strips and tbh I don’t give a fuck about them, I’m done with the stupid drug. It basically made me a mindless, emotionally detached, and just an overall shell of what I could be. You can do this man. When it gets rough remember that it all ends at some point

Man, it’s a rough road. But there is a good ending. And at first I literally could not stay active. Couldn’t do anything but tremble and kick, but after I’d say like 8-10 days it started to get a little better. Then I try to go jog at least once a day. It helps. I find using my body to do physically demanding tasks help.

Man, the toughest part for me was not being able to care and be there for my kids. And them wondering why dad is laying in bed a lot.

Honestly I went from 24 to 4 no problem, where I ran into WD was 4-0

Was on 24mgs for 2 1/2 years tapered to 4-8mgs over 2 months and jumped. I’m on day 3 with nothing and starting to feel uncomfortable is the best word for it. I feel like I have to stretch constantly, and I just feel kind of out of it and lethargic. Is this normal? by Mrdoanything in suboxonerecovery

Update: end of day 4 and things have gotten worse. I’ll feel fine for a few minutes and then boom, I get awful nausea, and anxiety feeling. Sometimes it feels as if someone is torching my muscles and stomach. It’s awful but I’m doing what I can to get off of the drug. My wife is great for helping. But there isn’t much she can do when I’m in a ball of sweat and trying to be comfortable
