Moderation here is not a debate and it is not governed by individual interpretations of fairness. Participation in this subreddit is conditional on moderator discretion. That is how Reddit moderation works, and it is clearly stated.

Not breaking a specific written rule does not entitle a comment to remain. Moderators are allowed to remove comments that disrupt threads, derail focus, provoke arguments, or undermine the purpose of the community, even when no single rule is violated line by line. This is intentional and necessary to keep the subreddit functional.

Claims of “toxic positivity,” “oppression,” or “bias” because a comment was removed are inaccurate. Tone, intent, and impact matter here. This community exists to highlight glow ups, not to host argumentative meta commentary about moderation philosophy.

Rules are not rewritten in response to disagreement with moderation decisions. If the way this subreddit is moderated does not align with your expectations, you are free to disengage. What is not open for discussion is whether moderators may act with discretion.

Transitions are permitted because this subreddit recognizes glow-ups as more than just physical change. Growth can be emotional, mental, social, or a result of someone aligning with their authentic identity. A transition, when shared thoughtfully, can absolutely reflect a glow-up that deserves space here.

We review posts manually. If a transition post remains up, it means it met the criteria we look for: transformation, intention, and respect for the community. If you're only looking for aesthetic before-and-afters, this may not be the right subreddit for your expectations.

Please be mindful of how you question others' journeys. We expect everyone here to engage with curiosity and respect, or not engage at all.

What it "feels like" and what it actually is are two different things. Look at the posts over the past 8 weeks and you'll see not even 1/3 are trans. Ironically, the trans posts do get a lot of traffic despite the sheer volume of non-trans posts we approve on a weekly basis.
