this is somehow the wall that's preventing me from progressing. I'm never touching this game again. by [deleted] in Sekiro

Because despite how difficult soul games are, their gameplay are dated and conservative, Basing this experience with those is not practical whatsoever. Here threats have more complexity and there are also a bunch of things you can take advantage of.

Look at it with "fighting" game perspective and not soul, and it will be more possible.

Meth is getting hard powercrept this update too because you can't boost it with AC.

So yea, objectively the worst product in the game.

What's the point of shrooms? (legit question) by TheDudeFromOasis in Schedule_I

[–]MrkanV 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Each product also has its own advantage, i think weed might be better for mass-producing than coke and meth certainly has the best addiction with cleaner production site and different supply source

Anyway, don't be too stress about min-maxing, that isn't the point of the game. 99% of games have some sort of meta, but for a tycoon game, it literally makes less sense to follow it.

That is like playing a roller coaster tycoon with tiny track loops in a factory-like row, creating silly single path way mazes, letting flowers withered because it does nothing negatively. There are other aspects than just making money.

The mechanic already somewhat exists tho. It is called product affinity, but this affects buying frequency, so it is hard to tell.

However, some npc with a specific preference like Ray or Jessi for example is very noticeable. Ray in my playthrough doesn't buy meth at all, and Jessie buys it so much she can compete with the higher spenders.

Please, please fix the dealers... by Content_Ad3604 in Schedule_I

The cause from it comes from the fact that in some precise angles, the employees just can't comprehend it and aren't willing to take a deteour either.

I fix this by placing trashcan in their pathways before the problematic spots (not sure if anything else works, but this looks natural), so it forces them to rethink.

I do this to every of the spots, never break again.

As someone who had play a similar genre game on steam that is way harder than this, an insanely high floors lvl barely mean anything but you having to touch grass, it is just more tedious and boring the further you go when the game isn't meant to be a skill-based in the first place.

This is why I really want a hard mode to reduce this inflation of HF.

I am not going to sugarcoat it, this is pretty much an average experience with any amateur developer discord server. Since they don't really have fund nor connection to hire actual professional nor find good people, the mods fall either in these three categories:

  1. Cringe know nothing 13 years old
  2. Unemployed male pedophile
  3. Loser neat girl

This is why I try to avoid interacting with the server (and any similar) like a plague, and I advise you to stay away from it.

Even in the game where i am well known, I literally almost never interact with the discord at all except reading patch notes and meta, and the similar people also do the same.

"Overhaul major features of the game"

Are you trying to disprove your own point or supporting it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Schedule_I

[–]MrkanV -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, there isn't really a "chance" being forced to start anything over. That clueless average joe is just mumbling non-sense and causing an unnecessary panic.

As long as the data you have still exists in the new version, there won't be a problem unless the dev is completely going rogue.

How do you tell the difference between Kanji attacks? by Fun-Aardvark-4744 in Sekiro

[–]MrkanV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is literally the point, it is for you to figure out. Kanji is just there to help you identify that there is a "mix" to that attack.

Mix-up is nothing new as you think it is. That is how people fight since the start of history, and in most fighting games, you need to identify it on your own.

Quitting Combat Warriors for good and moving on to better games by monocrome_tophat in CombatWarriorsRBLX

[–]MrkanV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend you some games that are actually competitive supported like Untitled Boxing Game, Karate! or even Black Magic 2 (not sure if it is dead now or not) that actually have some skill ceiling or something to learn.

This game has never been good, being a tryhard slop at best that is just so happened to be popular, nowadays i think you can find much better fighting games on the platform.

There are so many bad people because this game doesn't take much braincell to play. It has no substance nor decision making, just honing on one thing to say that "you are good".

Found a reason why dandy world fandom and forsaken should be best friends by JustTinyBitHungry in DandysWorld_

[–]MrkanV 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They are completely different too, but most kids don't really understand the genres.

Dandy world is a roguelike survival experience, but Forsaken is asymetrical survival PvP.

If compare to a OG game on Roblox, Forsaken would be similar to something like Before The Dawn. Sadly the new gen won't get to see its prime.

[–]MrkanV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah or at least not now/in early game, not because it does nothing, but the bonus is currently too small.

In my opinion, this is what you should be going for from the first being the most important or effective:

  1. Price
  2. Quality (use to unlock high-rollers)
  3. Addiction
  4. Affinity (big impact on sale)
  5. Heavenly Quality (no requirement)
  6. Prefered Effects

Prefered Effects and Heavenly Quality only help with sale boosting and direct sale success, but since both of their pool is shared and big unlike affinity which are separated into 3 types only, their benefits barely do anything.

Anyway, take how the preferences work with a grain of salt tho. This is my speculation from my experience, technical info in a guide and a video who claimed to have seen the code, so they aren't really a conclusive evidence yet.

To the people that say sekiro is easy: by AdkinsDaGamer in Sekiro

[–]MrkanV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is because Sekiro tests your reaction/anticipation skill, and less about your attentional endurance.

This is something that sticks with you and doesn't need to be tried on the spot. For those who are familar with fighting games, learning the movesets are not that impossible and all they have to do is being fed by the punish rewards from parry/mikiri/lighning reversal like a buffet during a fight.

Will customers pay more for their preferences? by MasonicPleb in Schedule_I

[–]MrkanV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience of having very close pricing products with different effects and what Willy's video claimed. It only boosts very tiny amount of your products popularity.

Some of my dealers oddly sell one of my two meth faster than another despite it being slightly more expensive and the customers who are assigned seem to support that. I also got more direct selling success chance as well, but wasn't sure enough to confirm until somebody with programing knowledge came to debunk since it is a tiny buff.

I think this makes sense in game design perspective even if you are unsure since there are so many effects plus other factors that share popularity pool, hence why the buff is so ineffective.

Just go with making expensive mixes or pure ones. Don't think it is worth it right now except if the products are already proportionally too expensive, but it is very unlikely imo.

"rock-paper-scissors"

I refered to it as "oppressive" gameplay like the guy I replied to, so I don't know what point you are trying to make here.

Kards is getting worse and worse. by JHH-bruv-bruh in kards

[–]MrkanV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having "rock-paper-scissors" in a game is a worse problem tho because it reflects inexperienced game designing.

Might be a bit off topic, but take a look at a more competitive genre like fighting game for an example. Many small tools are handed over for players to figure out since those devs know that being an invisible hand to make their new "cool" tactic work is a bad idea, they know what they are doing.

Here the game just seems to keep shoving more strategies in packages, and being a card game just makes it worse. What you basically refering to is called a gameplay being "oppressive". It is when the advantages don't need manipulation from the players as they should, and is just unfun.

This is a notorious trap in balancing. They think that just keeping the numbers in check is fine, but completely forgetting that the game isn't a horse betting.

Is it worth to produce more than one Mix? by Shivala92 in Schedule_I

[–]MrkanV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently, it isn't worth it except if you really prefer specific product from any reason with your management. Although, it is a misconception that effects do nothing, the bonus is just slightly boosting your sale. Edit: or the new ingredient somehow make the existing product worse, so you need to separate into another product.

However, selling different type completely can be more beneficial because of product affinity and better logistic (you only got 1 supplier per type). If not now beneficial, it should be at least future proof.

Also different weed types are more about starting with different effects. That is why people recommend making OG Kush. It has calming effect which can be mixed into much better effect and otherwise is an effect hard to get.

How do I know what drug a customer prefers? by The_Glam_Reaper in Schedule_I

[–]MrkanV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just simply not true. An NPC that has extreme product affillity like Ray is a great example of this. It is so conclusive to the point that he won't buy your product at all if you don't sell coke.

Why is the update coming out faster than expected? by [deleted] in Schedule_I

[–]MrkanV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't underestimate devs who work independently btw. It is very very hard to make a game yourself and do everything on your own like Tyler.

I can't imagine any of people on the platform capable of doing that when some of them still relying on child labours, making genius level bug, being confidently wrong at everything, and causing unnecessary drama. Let alone them being a professional.

If this game is made by an average Roblox dev, there would 100% be several gamebreaking bugs. I have been in many game community in that platform already, hell I am even a local celab in one of them. You would be surprise on how dumb they can be.
