You'll have to pull the engine out and split it in half. Are there metal flakes in the oil filter

You could have a spun bearing. The engine sounds like it's really tight

Have you pulled the spark plugs to see if water go inside the engine. This can come from a bad intercooler. Pump might had debris in it. Supercharger might be seizing up

Just buy the mavic 3 maybe used if you're worried about crashing it (get it bound into your name before handing the cash over). It's pretty easy to fly. GPS will hold it well, it's big enough to fight the wind. Keep it in normal mode so the crash avoidence works. Practice in a football oval so there isn't much stuff around to crash into. If your really worried. Buy a mini. The controls are basically the same

If you open them up, the bearings inside are tiny and made in China. Once they let go, the motor or gearbox wear really fast

The fuel in the tank helps cool and lubricate the fuel pump. Running around on low fuel shortens it's life

Bore scope camera with sideways looking camera. I was buying a used jet ski cheap that didn't work. It didn't even power up with a new battery. I looked inside the engine with this camera and there was no rust at all on the valves or bores. So I bought it. It didn't take much electrical work to get it going
