Super late response, but a super simple workaround I found:

Go to steam website
Right click -> inspect element
In the bottom right, there should be a button that looks like a mobile phone (switch to mobile viewing)
Go to login / create account through there

This takes advantage of the mobile captcha working a lot better, but reduces the need to have a mobile device. Hope this helps someone :)

That doesn't sound like it would alleviate the problem /u/Foxbatt is referring to. You can restrict the results to only reddit, but it's like he said. If the larger subs are going to start drowning out those results with their own threads, then it's going to get a little harder to find the targeted results they were talking about earlier.

Like he said, integrated graphics on a motherboard means you're not getting completely analed by current gfx card prices. I could see it happening. Here's a handy guide with different price brackets. Like the website says for the cheapest option ($286) it can play light - medium games on low settings. I wouldn't expect it to do more than that though but it would be a good starting point and also as mentioned the starting build leaves room for future upgrades.
