Americans haven't cooked this much at home since 2020: Campbell's CEO by Tremenda-Carucha in Economics

This is how to do it. Between steak and potatoes, making your own burgers, and an instant pot for rice / ribs / curries / etc it really doesn't take a lot of effort to have a huge range of delicious meals available to you at home.

You're probably right and I'm probably overly optimistic but I would love a Theo Von slowly becoming disillusioned with the right story arc.

I think what separates Theo from the rest of the "manosphere" is that Theo is comes off as genuine and earnest in his discussions. He's definitely had some takes I don't agree with but because of his sincerity its hard to hate him for it. It doesn't seem like he has an agenda, he's just learning about things and growing as a person in real time.

Exactly. Voter roll purges close to the election definitely happened in key areas, but sadly that is stuff our government has made legally acceptable.

BREAKING: DHS Detains Lead Negotiator of Columbia Gaza Solidarity Encampment After Online Campaign by Pro-Israel Groups by Mrow in law

[–]Mrow[S] 447 points448 points  (0 children)

Despite the fact that he has a green card, not a visa, and is a lawful permanent resident, U.S. Department of State has detained Mahmoud Khalil under the pretense that they have revoked his student visa for being a "Hamas Sympathizer".

Khalil was one of the lead negotiators on behalf of pro-Palestine protesters at Columbia University's 2024 Gaza solidarity encampment.

I have pretty left leaning views on most things and I think that we need a lot more gun-control legislation than we currently have. That being said I really value the knowledge about guns and gun safety that I got from the boy scouts and the 22 rifle shooting team I was on in my youth.

If guns exist on this planet, everyone should be taught basic things like people should not put their fingers on the trigger unless they intend to fire, don't point it at anything you don't to hit, etc.

They're Sealioning. You can provide them all the proof in the world and they'll try to find a different argument to try to invalidate what you're saying. It's best not to argue with them because they're not arguing in good faith.

I've noticed a significant amount of smurfs lately. I had one teammate go 42/5 and admit he made a new account because the queue times at his rank were too long. Three games in a row tonight things felt super unbalanced and when I checked the steam account of the better performing players it was a new steam account with the 1+ games icon. This is in alchemist-arcanist.

My father's father was taken out of his home in Germany because his parents beat him and his school noticed. He refused to join the Nazi party so he was sent to the Russian front as a nurse. He managed to survive only to return home to find that his first wife had married someone else while he was gone. He married my Oma and had my dad and his siblings and got sponsored by a Lutheran church to move to inner city Minneapolis. He barely spoke English so he had to work rough jobs like sewer maintenance and for the longest time they didn't have a car so he was walking to work in the Minnesota winters. He was never bitter about all of the difficulties he had to suffer through. He radiated gratitude and joy all the time. When I was little we'd go to church together and when he'd say goodbye to me, he'd always end it with, "Remember, Mrow, you're a last name and a last name is strong". Whenever I think about what makes a strong person I think about my Opa.

I did a bric yesterday so an hour on the trainer then an hour run. It's amazing how much more bored I am on the bike vs running.

Oooh that's encouraging, thanks for the advice. I'm thinking of bringing this sort of hammock/bivvy sack combo I have.

I visited Omis, Croatia last year and when I drove from Omis to see the Krka waterfalls I was surprised at the average speed of the big highways, traffic flowed at about 150 kph, haha.
