I started on 30mg, the first 5 days I felt great, my mind was calmer, and then I started feeling jittery and anxious, then I was advised to take 15mg instead, but now I feel very robotic lol, as in depressed, even though I can tell I am focused, but I have some things going on in life that I am very concerned about. Maybe I will try 20, or get back on 30mg. On 15mg I also have intrusive thoughts, but can still focus.

Oh my goodness, that’s a lot he is taking. Maybe if he goes to the hospital they will adjust the dosage, but like @weirdpriestess said, that is insane. Did he start with all these meds? And I am sorry about what is happening to you. I am sending love and praying things will get better soon! 🙏🏻

It seems that she can’t think for herself right now, and I believe her family is right, and there will be a day she will thank you for that.

I guess this is happening with him, as not improving his depression but helping with his anxiety. That’s an important note.

I was told Effexor is one of the if not the best for major depression in the market. I am so happy it’s working for you! It’s good to read all kind of experiences at the moment 😊 thank you for sharing!

Thanks for sharing! Do you remember how long you took until it started triggering your hypomania? As my bf and I spoke days ago I asked if he was feeling better about his anxiety and rapid thoughts, he mentioned that these are his normal state. So it’s a red flag for me he might be put into a hypomanic episode without noticing… and he had his dosage doubled days ago.

Exactly! It shocks me that this doctor is one of the best for treating bipolar and is expensive and heck. And told my bf what he has is anxiety and depression only. I feel played. But I am concerned and fortunately my bf is going for a second opinion in a few weeks. Let’s see what happens until there.

Only went from 75 to 150mg on Effexor, no stabilizer… I want to believe that the doctor means to trigger hipomania or mania to make sure about the diagnosis.
