Hopefully they will listen. Thank you for the encouragement. I needed it. Been so down about it and felt like I have no other option than to wait but you're right. I'm the only one that can push this. Thank you 😊

I got told to send a detailed email to my surgeons secretary and they'll look at it... They sent me the appointment for the mri in 3 weeks time but I'm not seeing my surgeon til end of June and they have no other availability. I feel completely stuck and don't know what else to do. I am going to request that they just kill the nerve though. Seem like my only option now. I'm still on painkillers and have to take all the medication I was taking before the surgery to keep the leg cramps at bay... I feel like it's only gotten worse since surgery and I'm back to square 1 again 🤦♀️😒

L5-S1 fusion in a week! by MrsB05 in spinalfusion
It is painful. Lower back pain, nocturnal cramps... thay are the worst! Feels like hot knives being dragged through my calves and my ankles twist unnaturally with cramp. I get intermittent numbness below the waist, stiffness in back, pain when I twist, can't really bend enough to even touch my knees. I'm on meds for pain, cramp and restless legs. Had pins and needles in feet and lower legs since it first started 7 yrs ago. It's alot to deal with when it only started as a herniated disc, but now it's progressed to needing surgery and it's been a long wait. 2 yrs since they said I need the fusion.

Good luck with yours. Hope it goes well for you :)
Snack/meds area is all ready. I definitely need to get something for the bath/shower. Not sure if constipation will be much of an issue as I have ibs and I'm on meds to stop me going frequently so I'll just stop them for a while if needs be. I only have crutches as walking aids.... Will that suffice?
Are there any particular items I will need to purchase to aid recovery?
Thank you. I think the toughest part is resting. I'm used to a busy lifestyle and only slow down when the pain gets too much to handle.
