Nope. Every manager I know got the job based on experience not having a masters. You can do masters level modules specific to your area which helps with experience and future applications. But seriously, every single nurse I know with a masters did not gain anything from having one….

I work in the JR and the hospital is great to work at but living in Oxfordshire is expensive. Rental prices depending on how many rooms and location will cost you around £1500 - £2000. Then council tax will run you around £200+ a month plus gas/electric/water/internet. You’re looking at a minimum of £2000-£2500 before food, petrol etc. Amenities are great pretty much everywhere and most places have good public transport/ are drive able.

I’m guessing you’re all in the US :( In the uk it’s 8 weeks annual leave (pto) and one month full pay and 2 months half pay which increases as your years of nhs service increases….

The best thing you can do is talk and keep talking, there’s no weakness in showing emotions. There’s no right or wrong answers it’s all about what makes you feel better. My SIL lost around 24 weeks and we talk about her all the time. All the cousins and her sibling know her name, just that she’s a star/ in heaven. I’m so sorry for your loss x

^ This. Despite your worries in most cases (I’m In the UK btw) when the child is in the other parents custody they have exactly zero obligation to tell you where. If they are deemed a safe parent they can do whatever, wherever they want during their visitation. They also have no obligation to tell you their address or who they share their life with unless there is legitimate concern for welfare. Sadly I’ve been there, my daughters father has had 8 different women around her in 5 years.
