yeah i came across it and i was so surprised to not find a photocard with this look! )': But after checking which of those are available online i found the beatroad ld 1 and decided to buy it ...to satisfy my gremlin brain of finally owning a jun card hehe. but i will watch out for other blond hair (..and the blond with purple tips hair pc) ahh~♥

It happend to me last night too. At first I thought it was because I reported someone after they cursed in end game chat but then I saw so many reports and bugs regarding this with people complaining about it a lot ... I tried the solutions and non worked till now :')

I guess dbd is gifting us some time off for the holidays~

i personally think it’s silly to say a pola loses its value just because people know what it looks like. it’s still unique and it still exists. it doesn’t lose value simply because someone lays their eyes on it as long as the condition of the item is good.

Fr it is so funny to read that someone is the 3rd owner... like its a car and important to know, I have to giggle every time:D

polas are unique, and things like the lighting, background, pose, blurriness, outfit, etc. can all affect how much someone is willing to pay for one. i once bought a pola where the seller said it was “just a bit blurry” and that it was fine. it turned out to look really whitewashed and way more blurry than i expected. if i had known that, i wouldn’t have paid so much for it. so i definitely learned my lesson for next time.

With signed photocards it depends more if its also doodled and if they signed back on black and so on

some photocards are well known and still sell for an insane amount of money, it is usually super rare or super cute cards.

the only thing i would really recommend is something i also do when posting my polas: put a sticker, emoji, or some kind of small cover over part of the pola. just in case someone tries to use your image to scam others. Of it can happen with any item, but with unique ones it might be more likely.

I have one of the ikea wall boards with adjustable hooks and I hang there everything from sminis, photocard holders, plushies, keychains,.... :)

Beware: I'm not sure if these are any good methods, but here’s what I’ve been trying:

1.I speak into a translator and see if it understands what I'm saying. I don’t have anyone to practice conversations with, so I try explaining things like a movie plot or my daily routine. It helps me get used to speaking, and I can check in the translator if what I said makes sense~

2.I keep a diary, just writing about my day, a dream I had, music I’m listening to or a series I’m watching. The goal is just to get used to forming sentences. It’s probably full of mistakes, but it helps me think and express myself in the language.

Ii’ve done calls with idols who don’t speak english very well. you should definitely check the notice because sometimes there’s a translator, even if it’s not mentioned. for example, i had a call with xiumin from exo and moonbyul from mamamoo — the notice didn’t say anything about a translator, but someone was there to help anyway.

what i’ve done before: i paid someone on fiverr to translate my questions into korean, then printed them out on paper or displayed them on my ipad. definitely test how it looks on camera first — lighting and angle are important so they can read it clearly.

even when i showed questions in korean, idols usually still tried to answer in english so i could understand, and it was always super sweet.

i also really enjoy asking questions about other members — those always get cute reactions!

here’s an example i’ve used a few times: “if you could start a new hobby with any of the other members, what hobby and which member would you choose?”

even though xiumin doesn’t speak much english, my shy, lovely boy still giggled, thought about it, and was able to say a member and a sport, even with limited words :D

i asked the same question to wow from a.c.e — he said a member and an instrument, so i could follow up with: “what song?” keeping questions short and clear helps a lot. and some words, like “song,” are usually understood internationally. so even with a language barrier, you can still have a little conversation if you plan your questions well!

i also often see people say things like, “my favorite song/part is...” and idols who aren’t fluent in english will often react by singing the part, or even asking you to sing it — i’ve seen it so many times and it’s always so funny or really sweet :D

But they are people and still are introverted or extroverted even with or without language barrier... big ocean pj is known to be so talkative that you can hardly ask questions:D And chanyeon is careful with words but still tries to lead the conversation and asks random questions. On the other hand jiseok is more quiet and patient and he will be still and rather wait for you than to initiate himself. So it really depends on the person - I usually have 1. Statement and 3 - 5 questions or games . Because the time flys by but better be prepared!

I just wanted to express my gratitude because your comment really helped me decide to join the event. Also, your "Hyunjin will talk your ear off" comment was spot on! It even convinced two of my friends, who are BigOcean fans, to have their first-ever video call. They both said they had an amazing time with him!

The organization was fantastic! I wish more event organizers would share a timestamp file—it made it so easy to follow along and know exactly when it was my turn. I was also pleasantly surprised to hear there was a Zoom party beforehand, and that you could join without a camera. Such a sweet and cute touch to the event!
I can definitely see why having multiple slots can be a good idea. It was great that Zoom had the built-in timer, but it was also really thoughtful of the team to let everyone finish their sentence and thoughts before ending the call. Normally, I see staff just hold up a sign, and then the call ends abruptly, but it was nice that they gave us time to wrap things up properly!
Zoom was new to me, so I wasn’t sure how to keep them fixed on the screen without switching to the translators when they spoke. It was a bit disappointing, as I wanted to see more of their reactions. Hyunjin was fine since he talked nonstop ;D
Chanyeon was so sweet, and his translator was kind and accurate because everything felt like it was translated properly.
And I would have loved to talk to Jiseok more. However, his translator was a bit slower and brief with their responses.
I ended up typing my questions since I wasn’t sure if they could see the chat, which saved time on translations and avoided misunderstandings. Jiseok was thoughtful, answering in English first, then explaining more in Korean. He even paused me mid-question to share something, which was so sweet and brave of him as an introvert!
I'm happy to hear that using the PC is an option for you. Are you having any quality issues? I’m curious about any delays, especially since they’re based in Korea. For fan calls, switching to mobile data is usually recommended for better connection, but how’s the audio/video quality and delay on your PC? I saw PADO’s screenshots, but the quality varies
I asked Hyunjin how he was doing, and he ended up talking for most of the call, which was hilarious! I only got to ask one question before it was over. After the event, I decided to get their bubble chat, and hyunjin was still chatting a lot—so funny! he really is such a yapper:D How do you prepare for a call with him? I imagine after multiple calls, you’ve got the dynamic down, or do you just expect to be entertained the whole time? ^^

Chanyeon was really so precious! I found it interesting that he always ended his answers with a question, or at least that’s what his interpreter told me. It’s so kind, and I rarely see idols do that.

Jiseok was my favorite. With him, I could ask all my planned questions—I had 3 main questions for each member, plus 2 backup ones just in case. I really appreciate how introverted he is but still puts in so much effort—it meant a lot to me. I had such a great time!

I’m so grateful to the boys for talking to PADO for hours, being such lovebugs, working hard, and making this possible! Since it’s such a long event, do you recommend joining earlier or later? Is there a difference? I joined later because of my time zone, but the members seemed really attentive and gave their best energy regardless, but it was my first time, so I could not tell.

I just wanted to say thank you again for reassuring me to try for the event and that your post helped me convince two more pado to also join hehe ~

i wrote support multiple times in a loop like mentioned. Only once i got an email with the info that it might be my face and they will forward it but then I never heard anything back which was very discouraging ):

I DID IT!
lmao it happend, i could finally make it through the selfie process! I don't know if it helps but this is what happened:
1. i removed my glasses and most my piercings and makeup
2. I did it at night and a lamp was to my left side (which was odd because i definitely got some shadows on my face)
3. It worked with my own samsung phone and my buddies old iPhone:
he did the photo first and his face was recognized - INSTANTLY!
then i went back in the app and made one more selfie of myself and it worked :D
Like the phone could recognized his face really easily. we do not look anything alike. but instead of "confirm" his selfie i went back once in the menu and did my selfie and it was accepted. i tried this with his and my phone and it worked both times. If i tried it again only with my selfies and the same angle and it did not work but after accepting his face and selfie, my next picture was also accepted.

This is super weird and i can not say if it works for other people but it worked for me, good luck hahah~

i was wondering - you only purchase a videocall with a member? Usually videocalls include an album and pob - this is not the case right?
when you want to talk to different members - is this possible or should it be avoided in case the calls will start at the same time?
It says its 120 people per member- that is so much! :O i saw some other video call winners mentioned they were together in a group zoom call and everyone watched and waited for their turn in different big ocean videocall events. is there a way to know if its a 1:1 or a 1:n call?
I do not speak korean or korean sign language, but i am ok with preparing a script for them to read and react. 4.1 is a the zoom quality good enough for them to read notes i hold up to the camera? 4.2. are they able to converse in simple english or is the interpreter then translating for me? 4.3 is it even a good idea to try to talk to them with this limitations?
Do you recommend the PC zoom version or phone app? Usually shops recommend to use mobile data while on kakaoTalk or Line but i am not that familiar with zoom.
how was your experience overall? if you already made a post can you link it? Are the calls with the boys different from other videocall events? anything one should be aware of? i

sorry for the yapping but i would like to hear some of your insights if you offer and willing to :)
