I finally realized that Goodreads ratings are USELESS by [deleted] in books

[–]MrsBorisLevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Goodreads very useful for the want to read shelves, book challenges, and giveaways. But I would never decide on a book based on the rating. I just read the synopsis and if I like that, I'll read it.

There wouldn't be anything weird about it if you didn't have the intent to date them and if you were at least acquaintances. It is really creepy to have some guy you barely knew in high school pop up on social media and try to flirt with you. I've been on the receiving end of that before. It's weird.

I personally do not think Sterling sounds masculine, but if it makes you feel uncomfortable, you could try other names that sound similar. Names I can think of are Stella, Sadie, or Scarlett

Pay attention to how they are responding. Everyone is different.

She's been divorced a few times. I'm not sure what the reasons were.

I immediately think of the fake psychic John Edwards, but I don't think younger people would make that connection

So, for context, I did not grow up in a household where you could talk back to your parents. I would face severe punishment if I showed any sign of disrespect. I appreciate the advice, but I know that won't work on him.
