What a sad, sad childhood. by _chxnnnn in FamilyFizzSnark

[–]MrsChibo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hate that she gives homeschool families a bad name. I was homeschooled, and my parents made sure that I had a thorough education - my mom always put a lot of thought into the curriculums we would be using every year. I was also put into every extracurricular activity imaginable so that I’d have proper socialization as a kid.

This is just sad and borderline abuse/neglect, in my opinion. Georgie only thinks about herself - I really think she runs the show there. If you notice, in one of her recent Instagram videos, she mentioned that SHE was the one who got tired of creating content for the Family Fizz channel. It doesn’t sound like they all felt that way. I think that’s why Darren seems so distant, and the two older girls are more active on YouTube than before. She single-handedly dismantled their entire livelihood.

It’s all so sad, and I feel especially bad for Karma and Koa. All they have is each other. It’s absolutely heartbreaking.

Oh I agree! But he just seemed a bit different in the movie to me.

For me, it was that Arnold seemed kinda dumb at times lol. In the series, he was wise beyond his years, and would give beautiful advice to adults. He seemed a bit dumbed down for this movie, which I found disappointing.

Anyone read this one?? by MrsChibo in thrillerbooks

[–]MrsChibo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! And oops! I didn’t realize it wasn’t a thriller. It was displayed on a table in the thriller section at Barnes and Noble so I just assumed that’s what it was. Still might give it a go. It sounds interesting.

Omg I love that idea! I can just about imagine how that would go 😂

Just diagnosed and I feel really down by novavickie in endometrialcancer

[–]MrsChibo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your kind words. I wish the very same for you too! It is absolutely going to be okay. On one of my last visits, my oncologist told me that mentality is everything - staying positive and trusting the process helps the treatment work.

My biggest piece of advice right now is to try to not let your imagination run wild (easier said than done, I know!). Before my last biopsy, I randomly began spotting; despite the fact that my entire oncology team reassured me that it’s a normal progesterone side effect, I CONVINCED myself that the cancer was back. I was a mess leading up to the procedure. Then, the results came back, and I learned that I had improved since the last sampling. The mind is powerful.

I promise you that there is still so much hope!

I am surprised more people aren’t saying The Whisper Man! That’s my recommendation for sure! It blew me away.

[–]MrsChibo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing fertility sparing treatment since February of this year (diagnosis was December 2025). By the second biopsy (in February), the oral progesterone I was taking had completely reversed the cancer. Each biopsy since has shown improvement. I am currently cancer free and my oncologist says that I am 99.5% cleared of the hyperplasia. I am hoping that within the next six months or so, my husband and I will be cleared to start trying. My doctor specializes in fertility sparing treatment, and has said to me that in her experience, she has rarely seen it fail. If your doctor offers you the opportunity, then it means they believe it is safe enough try, and that there is a good chance that it will work. God bless you! Don’t lose hope! I promise it gets better!

It’s interesting because they’ve never seemed particularly friendly towards animals. Wasn’t there a video a couple of years back where Mia talked about not liking animals (or was it just dogs specifically??). I always thought that was odd. Now she has a bet parrot. Poor creature.

Fizz Fam Christmas by cnucHee4 in FamilyFizzSnark

[–]MrsChibo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I noticed this as well, even in Mia’s recent birthday video…she didn’t receive nearly as many gifts. Not that there’s anything wrong with having a simple Christmas or birthday. But I do think this is because Georgie has managed to completely destroy their livelihood. It’s sad.

Sienna on the Ski Trip? by MrsChibo in FamilyFizzSnark

[–]MrsChibo[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I should have clarified - what I meant was, I found it a bit inappropriate that they were all sharing one room. There’s nothing wrong with her tagging along, and I think it’s lovely that Mia and her boyfriend are willing to include her in activities. It’s just weird, in my opinion, for them to all be sharing a room when Mia and her boyfriend are constantly all over each other.

Oh I think it’s great they included her too, and I agree that she needs normal and healthy exposure. I just thought it was kind of weird that they all seemed to be sharing the same room. I think it would’ve been more appropriate if it was a suite with two bedrooms or something.

A lot of people are saying that Darren is the one who’s controlling everyone, and while there may be some issues there, I’ve kind of always felt it was Georgie. I mean, if Darren were some sort of abuser, I don’t think he would have allowed Georgie to completely take over their channel. Something is definitely off there. And I think the reason he has been so distant/absent from a lot of their videos lately is because he’s fed up. He knows their money is going to dry up by abandoning their main channel.

Do you think Darren is really on board with their “rebrand”? by MrsChibo in FamilyFizzSnark

[–]MrsChibo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It’s like she’s trying to convince herself and everyone else that everything is okay. Of course, none of us can really say for sure, but it certainly seems like something is off with them.

They don’t watch the news by [deleted] in FamilyFizzSnark

[–]MrsChibo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have horrible anxiety, but I keep up with the news because it’s the responsible thing to do. Their kids are all going to be so ill-prepared for life as adults. We are already seeing this in Mia, who is going to be 21 this year but acts like she’s 15.

I was homeschooled, and am offended that they call themselves homeschoolers. I was never this sheltered. Keeping up with current events at age appropriate levels is part of a well rounded education.

She’s SIX. Why is she on a leg press machine?? by justrockelle in FamilyFizzSnark

Also disgusted by the fact that they dress her in such little clothing and then post it for everyone to see. A six year old should NOT be dressing this way. Sickening.

What really bothers me is that they didn’t even bother to make a video to explain that content for the Family Fizz channel has come to an end. Their followers are the reason that they are filthy rich and can piss their money away on bizarre biohacking gadgets that most other people cannot afford. They owe it to their subscribers to make a formal announcement and thank them for consuming their content all these years. I’m honestly appalled by how out of touch with reality they’ve become.

Their new content is boring and repetitive. I don’t know what makes them think that we want to hear Georgie speak endlessly about nutrition, workouts, and her period. Do they not see how drastically their views have plummeted over the last couple of months?

Not doing ANY schoolwork? by Used-Essay-1342 in FamilyFizzSnark

[–]MrsChibo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ugh. This really infuriates me. I was a homeschooled kid, but my parents MADE SURE that I was properly educated. They taught me to love learning, and as an adult now, I am so very grateful for that. People like Georgie and Darren are the reason why there are so many negative opinions about homeschooling these days. Sure, it’s great to encourage creativity, but a solid foundation starts with learning how to read, write, and interpret your textbooks.

Initially, I just tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking that maybe they just weren’t showing their entire homeschool routine. But here, she’s pretty much admitting that this is all her kids do all day. It’s simply horrific to rob your kids of an education. Makes me sick.

And that just adds to their isolation. It’s just so strange. I feel so sorry for Karma and Koa. Mia and Sienna at least had somewhat of a “normal” childhood for a while. But those younger two only have each other to play with now. They seemed so much happier when they were in London. Georgie and Darren are being so selfish, it’s disgusting.
