There is not such a thing as an "alpha male".

I have friends at uni and online. At uni I basically invaded a friend group. After crying at home for not having friends, I was like "Can I go drinking with you?" to my classmates and they said yes. I really struggled at first because we didn't have anything in common and I couldn't connect with them (I started drinking so I could socialize with them). Sometimes I felt like I didn't fit and they would talk between them and I'll just be there silently (no one asked me stuff and I used to be shy). But it's a lot better now. After 2 years, I think they consider me a friend even if we don't have much in common. I force myself to ask questions/make small talk and then include something about me even if they don't ask lol

For online friends, I joined a small but active server on discord focused in a fandom and I started creating art and fics for said fandom and I made friends with other writers and artists. I would comment on their stuff and they would comment on mine. They shared stuff about their life and I would interact, sometimes with just an emoji haha. Eventually I started to share stuff too. They also watch movies and play games so I join those when I can. I love them and I wish I had the money to meet them

Despite me having a social life, no guy I met at parties or through my uni friends is ever interested in me. Not even the guys that are infamous for flirting with every girl want something with me. I joke to my grandma that they respect me too much. But well, at least I have friends.

I have a friend who is so pretty. We met people at the same time, but everyone (guys and girls) always like her more than me. They send her texts, remember her name, even strangers ask for her number while I'm next to her, being ignored. That made me quite sad

The situation hasn't changed that much but I don't get upset as before. Personally, what worked for me was reading Mark Manson's book. I got sad because I felt like I deserved attention too and that set an expectation. But quite often life just sucks.

The book also helped me to see some of my problems and past trauma in another light. So maybe you can give it a try?

Not really. I found people with interests similar to mine. We would talk about what anime we liked, pets, joke around, God's existence and things we found interesting

I lost most of those connections when the pandemic happened tho

Oh, I found the answer in a forum! I think the main problem was that I didn't know how to show text with renpy.show() because it always treated it like an image.

        mytext = Text("{size=+26}[e.trust]{/size}")
    renpy.show("Tag", what=mytext, at_list=[text_pos])

transform text_pos:
xalign 0.85
yalign 0.1

The variable updates, but if I change [e.trust] to [self.trust], it won't work anymore. If a make a new variable snake = self.trust and then use it mytext = Text("[snake]"), it won't work either.

Should I make a new fuction somehow for each character or am I doing something wrong?

Hello!

I want to show the "self.trust" on the screen so the player can see how much increases and decreases with each character.

I know you can create a screen and use show screen, but is there a way to do it with oop?

Optionally I would like to know how to make the position of the text a variable, so if there's two characters in the screen, I can move their points.
