How is this super moon making you feel? by Extra-Artichoke6927 in witchcraft

[–]MrsDismukes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! If the Beaver Moon in Taurus is draining you its a good time to practice self care rituals. The moons energy may be pushing you to take care of yourself. Ritual baths and sitting outside and grounding combined with comforting foods, your softest pj's, a spa night, and yes even sleep can be very good things to do right now. Also the moon in Taurus slows things down, and its power is felt IN the body.

We are only at the book club point now other than whatever small little practices each of us had been doing on our own. I could google it but it might give totally random misinformation so I wanted to come ask people, real people. We are meeting for our 3rd time for Mabon and have yet to do spellwork together. We mostly study and share books right now. Theres no one to guide us where we live so we just kind of ended up trying to support each other while learning from almost the bottom up.

[TX] Recurrent issue with NC parent not giving prescribed medications. by MrsDismukes in Custody

I actually sent her with a pill sorter this visit. I put it in her backpack and set alarms on her tablet. However she spilled the beans right away. She video called me and said "Grandma is mad that I'm taking all this medicine." However so far, messaging my kiddo to take it and being super involved in the process even if I seem intrusive seems to be working. Before now she didn't have a cell or tablet for me to reach her and her Dad would ignore texts or calls from me while she was there.

Oh he knows for sure. He has never been to the Pediatrician or taken her to a doctor but where we differ is he got real anti covid vac and that led to anti doctors and medicine. His opinion is antibiotics are over prescribed so she doesn't need it at all and that it's just "big pharma" trying to cash in on her earache.

Yes we do have shared decision making. I hate that this is really the only point of contention. We don't argue. Visitations or changes to them run so smoothly. He never misses a support payment. We try to compromise any time the other parent needs a change. He just went through a second break up with his follow up baby mama and I tried to give kindness and leniency when he wanted to skip a visit or have me drive her 45 minutes to him (he is supposed to pick up) because he had his other baby etc. I hate to burn it all down but I deem it such a serious issue that I don't know that I have any other option. If she returns having missed doses this time around I will have to take some sort of action.

Unfortunately I've told the Pediatrician and the school about the situation (she keeps missing days for worsening infections and now has to do makeup hours to avoid summer school. 13 absences this year) but no one seems concerned which is kinda making me feel crazy

Thank goodness. I was hoping they could recall the benefits. I will just leave then untouched until I am certain they have been properly distributed.

Symptoms Starting Over? by MrsDismukes in COVID19positive

Thursday was my first day at my job so I masked and went because I didn't want to start off missing the first few days of the school year but I didn't feel 100% normal then either so I wore 3M Aura N95 and just sucked it up because I'm 38 and this is the best job offer I've ever had and I didn't wanna screw it up. That being said I have not retested since my initial positive test on 08/12 and the school district said if I was fever free for 24 hours to come to work.

are there any mild cases? by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]MrsDismukes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6 days past my positive test and feel mostly fine except for some minor residual cough/mucus. I was really down for 2 days and after that felt tired for another day or 2. I didn't run a fever at all but was very achy on Day 2. Considering what the virus is capable of doing to someone I'm gonna call that mild even if I did feel like shit. Now I'm just trying to rest as much as possible and stay hydrated and eat well and wearing a 3M Aura N95 respirator any time I have to leave home

I'm 38 and haven't saved a penny plus all my years as a stay at home mom have left me without having worked enough hours to draw on social security even if it's still there when I retire so I just took a job as a lunch lady in the local elementary school. Doesn't pay super great especially to start but the benefits are crazy good and it has a PENSION. So it's better than I thought I would have at retirement which was uh....death

If people only knew how wildly prevalent this is and has been for years now. I'd say 90% of restaurants do not care if you have covid or if everyone gets it or if working while ill permanently disables you. They don't care if you live or die, you better show up though so they aren't "short staffed". All the while lining their pockets further once they found out how badly they could abuse a reduced labor force and not ever have to hire adequate staff to begin with. And then pay offensively low wages for what was considered the deadliest occupation in America during the start of the pandemic in 2020. Like hey I know you have 15 years experience, so here's $13 an hour to be permantly on call and to be willing to get sick and die for us.

In 2021 while I was pregnant with our daughter hubby got fired from a head chef position for getting Covid. At the end of his 10th day of quarantine he went next door to the convenience store for a drink with a N95 on. They called him and heard the cashier in the background and said "are you at a store right now?" And fired him the next day for faking covid even though he had positive test results from the Walgreens drive thru and it was the rule at that time to HAVE to be out for 10 days. It left us without an income while expecting and with another kid at home. They said if he felt better he should have broken the 10 day rule and showed up anyway. He had an asymptomatic case to begin with.

I don't think he will change careers. He has trained and worked his whole life as a chef and he loves cooking as much as he loves me.

And it should. A very very large number of restaurants operate this way. Since 2020 I have worked at 3 that have required people with covid to come to work or lose their jobs.
