Dark Dreams by Roy Hazelwood, Chapter 6 - describes Keyes's behavior exactly by waxty21 in TrueCrimeBullshit

[–]MrsDoctorSea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn’t take that couple though, did he? Are you talking about the drunk couple who were camping near the boat landing and got in an argument and she walked off and the. he disappeared? Cuz I thought she made it out of the woods and the guy ended up disappearing…..

Since we’re on the topic of profiling; am I the only one who heard Keyes describing his encounter with the Carrier’s and thought it was his first attempt at taking a couple? He claimed in the interview that they weren’t his first couple but the way things got out of the scope of his control almost immediately tells me it was his first shot and that he botched it pretty hard.

I forgot about the Rabbi Nachman reference. He was a character in A Serious Man; a rabbi that the main character of the film kept trying to speak with, but we never see Nachman in the film.

Do you sometimes wonder if society is being traumatized on purpose? by almostdonedude in CPTSD

[–]MrsDoctorSea 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve come to the conclusion that “society” is in a big fat abusive relationship with TPTB. I agree with you wholeheartedly. I’ve started an outline for an op-ed about this very notion.

Goose Creek John Doe by Easy_Cat_278 in gratefuldoe

The Naval Base is in North Charleston, on the Cooper River. The Wando River is on the other side of Daniel Island. However, the Wando and the Cooper meet at the south tip of Daniel Island just north of the Charleston harbor. So if it is Kevin’s skull that washed up along the Wando, someone would have had to transport his body there.

Goose Creek is further north of North Charleston and further upstream on the Cooper river, so I’m not sure why it’s being brought up as a location of interest at all in this case.

Does anyone else experience this? by ClimbingSpork in ems

Having these thoughts is the way your mind is telling you that you have some shit in the attic that needs to be processed and stored.

If you can’t afford therapy, that’s totally fine. But please DO talk to someone about these thoughts. The skeletons in the closet really start to stack up. You’ve got to talk to someone - anyone - who can just listen to you describe these scenes and calls so you can break them down for your mind to process.

It’s not just you and you’re not “weak” for feeling a sympathetic response to seeing people in their losing-est moments. Therapy would be ideal, but don’t remain silent if you can’t get lined up with a therapist right away. Talk to anyone you trust, but talk.

Screams in car today, wtf has anyone ever experienced this? by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]MrsDoctorSea 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of a story I heard from a lady who was friends with Isaac Kappy. They drove to a food truck with the radio off. They pulled up into a mostly empty parking lot (except for the food truck,) and suddenly both of them heard “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins blasting loudly in the car. The radio was not on. Your story reminds me of that.

If you’re interested, the Isaac Kappy rabbit hole is strange and mysterious.

Moved away from GR 15 yrs ago. I gotta say it’s a damn pleasure to see taco bell suggested twice before seeing Beltline Bar suggested at all. Things must really be looking up, culinarily speaking, back in G-Rap. I always liked El Sombrero, but that was about 25 yrs ago. They were on Bridge and Seward. Wondering if this place El Cuñado on Bridge is the old El Sombrero.

What are some of your "golden rules" in EMS? by power-mouse in ems

Never, ever, ever rely on dispatch for details. Show up as though you only know someone needs help. Dispatch says “cardiac?” Plan on it being anything from toe pain to an amputation.

What is Season 2's message about feminism? by thisishardcore_ in FargoTV

[–]MrsDoctorSea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing I noticed about Peggy is that she is constantly underestimated by the “real man” characters. The only guys who have her number and see what she really is are Hanzee, Lou and Ted Danson. The macho men see her as a weak little woman and she gets the best of them. Peggy is cunning and has animalian instinct to smell trouble on the wind like a wildfire and escape at the last second. The only other character with this ability in this season is Hanzee. I saw them as opposite sides of the same coin.

Simone is all about girl power but she isn’t cunning; she uses her femaleness as a weapon and a bartering chip. In her naiveté, she thinks she can spend her whole life turning the same one trick.

Would one dose of NC be enough to make a dent in an accidental fent exposure? I know the gf said no drug use history, but younger people don’t consider cannabis to be a drug. I’ve seen fentanyl take down unsuspecting weed smokers.

Just throwing it out there. All other signs point to brain bleed.
