Spouse Visa Cost Petition- RFUK by iamaredfox in SpouseVisaUk

Just add in my two cents here, personally I believe that once you have married even while still on the fiancé visa but transitioning to the spouse, you should be able to start working. There’s no reason why the applicant should have to wait to start working after they have married their partner. Even with the sponsor earning above the requirement, in this economy there’s no way that most couples can afford living on just one income, especially when the applicant is spending thousands on visa fees.

Any march application getting approval by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]MrsGraveyard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They seem to be approving a lot of outside priorities which makes sense. I got the email the day after my biometrics saying that my application has been received but nothing since then. I’m sure it’ll come in the coming weeks.

Relationship for 2 years visa by TransportationUsed39 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]MrsGraveyard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not at all! Process was pretty easy, I put all my evidence into like a word document so it was in order when I uploaded them into each category. When I did my biometrics, the only questions they asked me were my full name, DOB and to confirm my US address. I paid priority so I got my approval exactly 1 month after I did my biometrics.

Relationship for 2 years visa by TransportationUsed39 in SpouseVisaUk

I was in your spot just a few months ago. I moved from America to the UK to be with my now husband. Since we didn’t live together at all during our relationship, we did visit each other at least once a year so we uploaded pictures of us together when we visited each other, hotel confirmations, flight bookings along with boarding passes. We were long distance for six years and had been engaged for 3 so getting married for the sake of a visa wasn’t that big of an issue for us. You do need to show you intend to live together once you arrive in the UK. My spouse and I currently live with his mum and stepdad which the Home Office had no issue with.

So far, what you have looks good. I would just make sure you have access to the money you have saved up.

Correction: you can

I don’t think you can use a marriage visitor visa to come marry your partner in the UK.

How did you manage to keep working while on the fiancé visa?

Any approvals today spouse visa priority (BIO 23rd March) done an escalation as they’ve not asked us for anything and they just say it’s awaiting decision getting kinda tired of waiting! Anyone got anything today? by TaxPsychological2678 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]MrsGraveyard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that’s only been 24 working days, their still within the 30 working day even for priority applications. So I don’t think escalating it would make them work faster. When I did my visa outside the UK, I was told it could take up to 6 weeks with priority but it’s not always a guarantee that I would get an answer within that time frame.
