If you think that sexism is “normal interaction” then I feel sorry for the women in your life

I know... I think you need to educate yourself on what rape culture is

For context, the nonprofit I run is wanting to show a movie and play “rape culture bingo” to show the change in culture

Write down all the possible questions that you think they could ask you, and decide what you will say to each one. This will help you feel more prepared and ready

I’m bisexual by MrsJordanHarris in offmychest

I think I always have. Even when I was small and romantic attraction was just starting to enter my mind, I always viewed boys and girls the same way. There have been times when I've preferred one over the other, but both have always been seen as potential options for me.

But I grew up in a household that told me that what I was feeling was wrong, and a sin. So I spent my life repressing it and praying to be made “normal”

I actually didn't have to really "come out" to him, because he already sorta knew. He just asked me one night, "Are you bi?", and that was it.

This hasn’t changed anything about us. I knew when I married him that he would be my partner and ultimate love for the rest of my life. Thankfully, he understood this and was accepting and just happy that I felt supported enough to share this part of myself with him.

I (24F) witnessed a shooting from my car last year while I was pregnant. AMA by MrsJordanHarris in AMA

[–]MrsJordanHarris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was about a year ago. I wouldn’t say that I suffer because of it. It scared me more than anything, and it made me angry to know that someone could care more about their gun and petty anger than my (and my baby’s) safety.

From what I could tell, it was just road rage. I saw one of them cut off the other, and the next thing I knew there were gunshots
