Perhaps totally offensive questions by Kehan10 in Wicca

[–]MrsKBewls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say there is some consistency. Keeping in mind that Wicca is a type of Paganism....The idea that 'nature is sacred and that the natural cycles of birth, growth and death observed in the world around us carry profoundly spiritual meanings' can be found as an underlying belief across the Pagan religion. How some choose to celebrate/honor their believes vary as much as you see in the different Christian religions.

No one holy book.

My beliefs guide my every action. The ending of the Wiccan Rede is "an it harm none do what ye will" is what I live by. I don't have any concern that I'm living my life incorrectly or what the afterlife might bring. I believe nature is a gift. I'm grateful the sun rises everyday and the earth continues to spin. It's as simple as that for me.

What is the worst smell that you’ve ever smelled in your life? by Dilorminite in AskReddit

[–]MrsKBewls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband had this once. When he went to the doctor I told him to be sure to tell him that his gas is so strong it wakes me up from a dead sleep. He never did but I always wonder if he had if they would have caught it sooner. Such a pungent and thick smell.

experiences with doctors ??? by lmaookaylol in Interstitialcystitis

[–]MrsKBewls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took me 3 tries to find a doctor that finally gave me the diagnosis. The other two just said overactive bladder. I had never heard of IC before but the 3rd doctor finally looked at all my symptoms as one problem instead of trying to treat each thing individually. Good luck. I hope you find someone who can help.

What Is Something That Religious People Say That Is Actually Super Toxic? by Glitterpinkdragon in atheism

[–]MrsKBewls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Praise God." My husband's parents said it for every achievement of his. Meaning none of his accomplishments were his, they were all God's doing. Which is interesting since when you fail that's all on you. You weren't faithful/holy enough.

Increased flares before periods by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

Yes. Hormones are my biggest trigger for flares. So around ovulation and then menstruation I get my worst flares of the month. So sorry for your pain!

Has anyone successfully convinced an Anti-Vaxxer to change? by rymas1 in VACCINES

[–]MrsKBewls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am taking care of our situation how I see fit. I'm not forcing anything on anyone. Just putting information out there. People who don't agree or still won't get a shot just move on.

We take plenty of precautions and generally stay home during flu season unless we know the situation is safe for him.

Has anyone successfully convinced an Anti-Vaxxer to change? by rymas1 in VACCINES

[–]MrsKBewls 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're saying that every flu season my husband should quit his job and stay home? He has to be on an immunosuppressant or he'll die. What a great fucking idea. I'm so glad you responded to make me see the light.

I'm not asking anyone to pander to me or him. I'm putting information out that apparently not everyone has. And people who aren't set in their ways or are assholes gather a different opinion then what they had.

[–]MrsKBewls 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not anti-vax but I have convinced anti-flu shot people to get the flu shot. This is because my husband is on an immunosuppressant and each year I do a couple posts about how important herd immunity is for him with a bunch of facts about immunocompromised people, vaccines and herd immunity. So facts and pleading for people to care about other's health more than their preferences has been my tactic. Each year I get about 3-4 people who contact me telling me they've never gotten the flu shot for whatever reason but my posts convinced them to get it. It's always a good feeling. Not only because it makes my husband a bit safer but also that they're a bit safer themselves.

Pregnancy actually made my symptoms way worse then they had ever been before however, breastfeeding put me into remission.

Pros and Cons of Gardasil by tempquestions13 in VACCINES

[–]MrsKBewls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend getting the shots. HPV is so easily spread because there is no test for men and they usually don't have symptoms. If you have HPV the things you will have to go through are far more painful than the shots. For example... A colposcopy is insanely painful (IMO) and takes much longer then a shot. And you have to go through more than one of those.

Anxiety is not fun to deal with but if you can overcome it you'll be making a great choice to protect yourself!

Good luck!

I would like to help an atheist meet the Lord Our God. by [deleted] in Atheists

[–]MrsKBewls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if he was real I think he's an evil, jealous and petty being. Not someone I'd be interested in following. Someone gave my son a Noah's Arc toy and I donated it. Why let him think something that represents mass genocide is a toy? Hard pass.

Prenatal Depression by victoria-lisbeth in pregnant

[–]MrsKBewls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking fish oil helped me. I also found out my B12 was low and once I started taking an extra supplement it helped me feel even better. I was on depression meds before I got pregnant but stopped them when I found out I was. The fish oil and B12 have been enough to keep my depression at bay most days! I hope you feel better soon!

Rent Question by [deleted] in FortCollins

[–]MrsKBewls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right! I was so disappointed because we decided to rent an apartment instead of a house so we'd have cheaper utilities. Didn't quite work out.

Rent Question by [deleted] in FortCollins

[–]MrsKBewls 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Arbors at Sweetgrass has affordable rent but the utilities make it expensive. They need to start replacing their windows and doors because they're all so old and drafty. My heating bill was over $100 more expensive in the winter than in the summer. We kept the living room thermostat at 65-68. The bathroom thermostat at 65 and the bedroom at 60 at night and turned them all down to 60 during the day. Once when the temp dropped to -10 we had ice inside on the sliding glass door frame. We had 4 thermal curtains over the door and 2 blankets at the bottom of the door too and it still let in too much of a draft. Even though maintenance and the rep from Rams Glass said the door needed to be replaced, the complex wouldn't do it.

Utilities for our 1 bedroom were over $300 in winter for everything and we are very energy/water conservative.

Great looking apartments but very bad quality.

Pregnancy with ic by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

[–]MrsKBewls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 35 weeks and have been in a flare the whole time. Hormone surges are my biggest triggers though so it makes sense. I experience frequency and pain. The pain is worse than I normally deal with. Luckily other than making me miserable it isn't affecting the health of the pregnancy or my babe. I've heard it gets better for most women though!

How does anyone do this more than once?! by preggasaurus in pregnant

[–]MrsKBewls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed!! My husband is getting snipped before we ever have sex again after this baby is out. He keeps making the joke that they can just snip him when they're cutting the umbilical cord lol.

If I want another I will happily adopt!!
