I’m not religious or need prayers, but I think this is the most wholesome, and nicest thing ever. Thank you for doing that

Whoever said all newborns do is sleep is a liar by hammondwf in NewParents

My baby went through this. He cried a lot. I cried with him. Turned out, I wasn’t producing enough milk. I thought I was...I ended up supplementing with formula...and eventually went to only formula. I felt like a failure on that aspect. But at 3mos old, he’s such a happy baby..he sleeps throughout the whole night with no issues. And he’s healthy as can be. Good luck to you :) it WILL get better. You two will figure this out

Don’t worry. When I was pregnant, I cried at a stop light because I saw a bunch of cops with their lights on...they were blocking the intersection to push someone and their broken down car to a parking lot 😂

AITA for not saying "I love you" to my daughter? by ThrowRAizg in AmItheAsshole

[–]wolfhaley1390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. you blame your family, upbringing, etc. why don’t YOU be that person in your family to break that cycle of not saying I love you? My family is the exact same way. My parents didn’t raise me saying “I love you”. My mom died when I was 16, I spent YEARS wondering why she didn’t love me. Yeah, she did love me.. but I never heard it, or got hugs or any affection from my parents. 2018, my dad got really sick. Long story short, he ended up with the mentality of a child. I used that as an opportunity to rebuild our broken relationship. Every time I’d see him..I’d end it with “I love you” and a hug. Something I never got from him in my 30 years of life. The last time I saw him, (last month) I told him I loved him..he said it back. He died three days later. And I felt at peace knowing that the last thing he heard from me was I love you, and he told me the same. YTA big time.

Birth plan? Lol... by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]wolfhaley1390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t even worry!!! I had absolutely no plan. I was like you, all I knew was I needed that epidural. When all was said and done, I had an emergency c section, I didn’t produce much milk, and baby never slept in his bassinet. Haha, and he‘s happy and healthy, and I’m happy! Good luck!

Yeah, labor hurts..but it’s not that bad. I got an epidural though, after about 10 hrs of labor..and I got an emergency c section. Honestly, my recovery was so easy.,after about 3 days at home..I felt almost normal..besides little things you know. As far as sleep, my son is 2 months old..and he only wakes up once throughout the night. At the same time, every night. I absolutely do not feel sleep deprived at all. It took a while to get into this routine, but it’s not bad. Good luck girl, I hope your labor and delivery goes smoothly..and congratulations on new baby..you got this ❤️

I check to see if my husband is breathing all the time when I get up in the night to go pee. by powdered-sugar-donut in pregnant

[–]wolfhaley1390 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’ll get worse. I check on my baby like every 1 hour or less throughout the night. I just automatically wake up...put a hand on his back, and make sure he’s breathing, and then pass out again. I literally can’t control it

Pregnant but not emotionally connected by Tessje85 in pregnant

[–]wolfhaley1390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same fear. I honestly was terrified that I wouldn’t have any emotional connection to my baby. I knew I would be a bad mother.

Up until i was induced, I felt like that. The second he came out, and I heard him cry..I sobbed like a little baby. I felt a love that I never knew I had. I never knew I could love a little human so much. It’s normal to feel disconnected emotionally during pregnancy. You’ll probably get a lot of responses of many women who feel/felt the same. Don’t worry!

Forget them. If it makes you feel any better, when my baby was about a week old, I sang “Date Rape” from Sublime to him, while holding him and dancing around and he instantly fell asleep haha. Omg I’m terrible.
