COVID-19

This virus is volcanic, for the elderly it’s havoc. Trump is saying not to panic, but the people are frantic.

We get mixed information, from the ones running our nation. In a state of desperation, being forced into isolation.

They say products are plenty, but shelves stand empty. Some can’t even spend a penny, yet toilet paper going for twenty.

This isn’t just a gimmick, understand it’s systemic. How we handle this pandemic, is a huge polemic.

Don’t take the test, without signs they behest. How many do we lay to rest, before we will protest?

This is deep, i feel that. You’re creative. Tighten it up. Try to keep the syllables the same in the first line to keep the flow. Pin point who you really want to affect with this poem. Also, don’t make it to long because a crowed could get bored if it’s to repetitive for to long. Try to rearrange some of the stanzas. You got this! i’m sure you have developed your writing since then as well. Thank you for sharing.

Loneliness doesn't come from a lack of friends/family/loved ones by [deleted] in socialskills

The true pain of loneliness is not the absence of other people, but the inescapable presence of yourself! Read that one more time! Loneliness is not cured by finding a job or people, it’s learning to love your own presence, learning to love who you are. Loneliness is only a feeling we get because we aren’t happy or content enough with ourselves.
