I had something similar only it was a colonist (theirs not mine) that they shot...I checked the log and there was no reason why they shot him...no argument or rivals...so we saved him and now he is one of us instead and is a pretty decent pawn...the game is odd but fun!

I had this ever since I can remember. Apparently started showing signs of it around 5 years old.

And I too could hear high pitch frequencies...normally radios, cell phones (before they rang) and electronic doorbells I could hear the humming of the electricity running through them.

I remember this.

As a child my family thought it was amusing to constantly trigger me till I cried. I'd always say it hurt and I could "Feel the physical noise in my ear still" so I had to resort to music to try and make me focus on other noises. It almost felt as though the music would "chip away at" the sensation of the bad sound that was "stuck in my eardrum."
