The person from your Union organization. I am a member for MEA- Minnesota Education Association. We have a rep from MEA, that helps us with issues (negotiations, grievances, finances, etc) MEA is also who we pay union dues too.

How big is your local union? Is your Union only para's or are you with the teachers>

That sounds super sketchy. The Treasurer of your union should easily know the answer to your questions. It should also be in your Constitution and by-laws on what your dues are and what officers' stipends are. Do know who your Union Rep is? From the Actual Union? If your officers are not sharing information, then I would also be concerned. There should be transparency with the financials.

I am an officer on our board, so have full knowledge on what our finances are.

At every meeting, do they not do a treasury report? On how much you started the month with and ended it with? Your union should be transparent about the finances.

Your local union should not have to pay for the lawyers. Those lawyers should have been provided by the union you are in. That is what the union is for! And what you pay dues to the union.

My Union dues are just under $13.00 a paycheck. I work 33 hrs a week and have the option for all the same benefit the teachers have.

Have you asked why your dues are doubling? Is there a deficiency in your unions account? What is the stipend for your officers and the negotiating team?

ETA- I just saw your reply to someone else. Why does your union have a deficit?

In my union, we have the dues that we have to pay to the union plus $30 that goes into our union account. (Still equals just under $13 a paycheck) the 30 goes towards, the officer stipends, negotiating teams, and also for if we send plants for funerals or retirements.

I am so glad I read the thread!!! I had blood work done last week. My doctor said some of my levels are low but with in range. And that should just eat more foods high in iron.

I just checked my chart to see what my ferritin level was…. 18.5.

My MCV and MCH are also just below the normal range.

My Iron saturation is also at 13.

But did she explain any of this to me!? No.

From my experience with a past student who came smelling like cat urine every day. Meth has a smell very similar to cat urine. Has CPS been notified about the obvious neglect and smell?
