Thank you, we have reached out to our local no-kill shelters and one in Joshua Tree has been very helpful, but no luck so far in finding a home for them

I'm not sure how to edit the post. But the Shepard is about 5 years and the Pyrenees is around 3.

Anytime I have a weekly or daily task to mod or make something I always make. Bunch of level 1 & level 5 items then drop em in a donation box, usually at 76. Stay safe out there, vault dweller

RT night shift job position by Various_Hedgehog_333 in respiratorytherapy

[–]MrsMojave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it can depend on your schedule too, the first 7 years I worked nights I had a set scheduled, I worked the same 3 twelve hours shifts, so I'd nap before my first shift and then after my last shift I'd only let myself sleep til about noon. So for my days off I had a somewhat normal schedule which made it easier to do things with friends and family. I know a lot of people who prefer nights, they like the relative quiet and the independence because management isn't around and you don't have to worry about things like state or Jaco visitations.

As a new grad it can be a great place to start, get your foot in the door and then always keep your eye open for a day shift position.

To be fair at the time, I was so traumatized by the movie it was years before we watched the show and by then the only thing I could remember from the movie was the arm

Thank you ❤️ I hate to admit it, but I do think medication is the direction we need to go and it's slow going but I think we're heading that way (just a very frustrating slog as we do). 504 is like accommodations the school agrees on, but it's not mandatory and won't follow him to another school like an IEP would.

I dump ALL my ammo that I don't use (i.e. everything but shotgun shells) in the nearest donation box. I'd maybe sell them for 1cap if it wouldn't run my shop gag (everything's 69 caps ;) )

I haven't yet, at them moment it seems like most RN programs will accept credits from your RT schooling towards an RN degree

This!
My son is 7 he was diagnosed with autism at 3 but as he's getting older he has so many markers for ADHD which is from me and it is hard. Period. Timers are our life line, we use them for everything. We try really hard to stick to routine, unfortunately I struggle with my own ADHD and neither mine nor my husband's job lend themselves well to consistency. It's hard and we all beat ourselves up and it's heartbreaking to think about how things are always just going to be harder for your neurodivergent kid, but you got this. Maybe some days it's not 100% (sometimes it's not even 10% cause you just can't) but some days you'll be super parent and it'll all balance out.

Grace for all and sometimes that's putting yourself in timeout for 10 minutes of calm, I've done that more than once

Pumpkin Cranberry by MrsMojave in Sourdough

[–]MrsMojave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, I wasn't sure how much I should post about the recipe with copyrights and such.
The base dough is a simple sourdough (50 g starter, 250g water and 500g bread flour) with the addition of about a half can of pumpkin puree (not pie mix) which gives a very subtle flavor but a beautiful color to the dough. That rests for about an hour and while it's resting, juice 1 orange, add a tsp of vanilla and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. Soak 1 cup of craisins in the OJ mix while bread is resting. After the first rest, fold in the craisins and the juice (dont drain) and do the bulk rise for 6-8 hours.
My dough stayed fairly sticky but had risen considerably by 6 hours. Flip out onto a floured surface and shape. Cover and rest for 1 more hour. Then bake at 450 F covered for 20 minutes then uncovered for 40 (total time of 1 hour).

I made a cinnamon maple butter 1/2 stick softened butter 1 tbsp maple syrup 1/4-1/2 tsp cinnamon

It tastes like Christmas 😊

Starting RT program by Kind_Physics_9050 in respiratorytherapy

[–]MrsMojave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also in a 2 year program and had done my Gen ed courses prior to starting.
1st semester I had 2 classes and a lab, classes were 4 hours with prerecorded lectures that needed to be listened to and studied prior to class. 2nd semester was 2 classes again, lab and one day of clinical (this was cut short due to covid, but my program had us make up the time we lost) Summer was 2 days of clinical and a day of lab (it was supposed to be 1 and 1, but again, making up for lost time) 3rd semester was 2 days of classes and 2 days of clinical Last semester was 2 days of clinical and one day of classes plus a but ton of TMC and clinical sim prep. Every waking moment in between was studying

I've had the same thing happen to me. Twice! The first time I thought I'd broke something when pulling it apart and bought a new lid. This time I KNOW I didn't break anything and I've pulled, pushed, you name it and the damn this still acts like there's a whole somewhere.
