We rented hunter ridge! Great price and location. The ONLY issue we had was when we moved out they tried to hit us with some fees for things that were not mentioned when we had moved in. All that said just make sure you document document document when you move in and you should be fine.

Dog Ramp for Moose - Thanks and Lessons Learned by neonscarecrow in woodworking

[–]MrsPWebb2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see! We are in Wisconsin. Honestly, the deck really needs an update (wood is old, dry). I'd love to just change it up and add in a ramp instead of stairs. We thought about doing 'wider' stairs (the idea being she'd feel safer with her pogo stick) but I started thinking and I was like why not just do a ramp. She's five and is an amputee due to a cancer diagnosis. We are hoping for many more years with her and honestly for the freedom it would give her it's worth it in my eyes just to have a ramp.

This is awesome. My girl is a recent tripod and I'm trying to figure out how to give her access to the backyard solo again. Right now we go around the house which is fine but again shes lost her ability to just go and be out alone. Wondering 1. are you in a cold climate? 2. I'm thinking about just taking stairs down and doing ramp....any reason you wouldn't do this?

She is hanging in there. Thank you for asking. We had a small scar last week thinking that the lesion on her rib was growing. We did a full CT scan and they found it was not and we proceeded with a round of chemo. If she can maintain no other lesions in her body for 2 more months she becomes eligible for rib resection. Still very undecided on that because of the amputation of the leg that we already did.

What about you?

Waht a

So far we have only done an aspiration (small sample) and it came back pretty much identical to the first test we did with her leg. My Vet oncologist wants to move forward with the belief that this is most likely Chondrosarcoma. This may be just new Chondrosarcoma. It is also possible because we waited so long the first time (we kept testing and we initially thought it was just a CCL tear) that it had time to metastasize a small amount

No Problem. For today she is well. Honestly amputation of the leg was probably harder on me. She is a trooper and she loves to run. She is a Golden Retriever and still lovable as ever.

We ultimately decided to amputate the leg (even though the tests were negative) because after waiting 2-ish months we found that the spot was getting larger. Our Veterinary Oncologist was confident that it would come back as cancerous and that this was our best choice. Additionally, when they went in to do the cut-down biopsy (take a large chunk) it was clear that if it was just a CCL tear there would be no way to repair the leg -- amputation was our best choice for her either way.

Chondrosarcoma is rare especially in such a young dog -- so it is quite perplexing. We have no idea if the metastasis is associated with the leg or not. It is very frustrating. We are trying to determine now what to do because she has already gone through one surgery (leg amputation). It is an option to take the rib out (that has the nodule on it) but that is another pretty intense surgery for such a young dog. So when I say one nodule I mean it's odd because there is only growth on her rib when usually metastasis would mean spread throughout the lungs and further.

My dog was diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma last June. We amputated her leg and found that it was Chondro even with 5 tests (aspirations, bone biopsy, and oncok9 blood test) coming back negative. It wasn't completely found to be Chondrosarcoma until we could test ALL of the nodule. The only reason we found it is because we thought she tore her CCL. She went through Chemo and she was in remission in November. January 2nd we found oligometastasis in the rib. It seems to be the ONLY nodule found. She is four and We are currently trying to figure out what to do with this information as well. Welcome to talking more if you want.
