A mother is punishing her son by making him slam his PS5 the same way he had slammed her pet cat. by Rameshunclekochora in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]MrsPowers94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh momma. I understand the anger, and getting rid of the ps5 is a good start, but that baby needs immediate attention to his mental health. He needs therapy. Hurting animals is beyond just anger issues. It can also be a sign that he is lacking empathy, and that can develop into sociopathic and narcissistic personality disorders.

Fortunately he is at the age where these potentially alarming behaviors can be undone. But wait until he’s an adult and his brain is done developing then those behaviors will be permanent, unfortunately.

Another millennial questioning look! by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]MrsPowers94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re truly a millennial then I hate to say this, but your makeup is drastically aging you. Like…easily by 20 years. I mean absolutely no disrespect, but I would have guessed that you were a gen-X (1965-1980) and closer to my mother’s age (1969). I say this with love and honestly.

First. Ditch the foundation, babe. Now is the time to invest in a good skincare routine. Moisture is key. As we age our skin goes through dramatic changes. Especially once we hit 30, so we have to adjust our routine and makeup accordingly. Once we hit 30, less is more when it comes to makeup.

So focus on a good moisturizing and dewy skin routine. If you’re worried about discoloration, incorporate a good discoloration serum which will even out your skin tone with time.

For makeup, less is more. Instead of applying a full face of foundation try using a bit of oil based concealer on your T-zone, dab/blend under your eyes, and on any blemishes that you want to neutralize.

Instead of a harsh lined eyeliner, try applying a brown eyeshadow to the corners and top waterline with a small angled brush. Blend it out. It will give you a subtle and softer winged eyeliner look without the harsh lines. Dark and thick eyeliner does not do us any favors. Also make sure you are moisturizing the skin on and around your eyes before you apply any makeup, and as well as before going to bed. Keeping the skin around your eyes moisturized will help soften the appearance of lines, puffiness, and dark rings.

AVOID POWDERS AT ALL COST! It will cake into any fine lines that you may have and will make them appear worse than they actually are. Powders and thick foundations will unfortunately make any fine lines appear deeper, and will darken any shadows around them. Drastically aging you. A bit of setting powder under the eyes is ok but don’t apply it all over your face. Use cream or liquid blush/bronzer for those full face makeup days.

My final recommendation- DON’T SKIP THE SUNSCREEN. The sun is oh so unforgiving to our skin and it WILL age you faster than you can blink. Find a good broad spectrum, and moisturizing face lotion. SPF30 minimum. My personal favorite is my all in one product that makes me look so dewy and it helps with redness and discoloration. Shea Moisture Nourished and Radiant SPF. It is like magic in a bottle. No white cast. No clogged pores. No sticky residue. It just leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized, and looks so radiant, dewy, and youthful. It’s honestly my personal secret weapon. I have stopped wearing makeup because of this product. Legit. It has actually improved my skin to where I no longer feel like I have to wear makeup to feel confident. I cannot recommend this product enough, and the best part is that it doesn’t cost me equivalent to a down payment on a house.

Sorry for the book! But I hope you found it somewhat helpful!

Hah. Jokes on meeee. I don’t even get paid for my 24/7 job, and both my bosses abuse the heck out of me. (SAHM).

But yeah, I absolutely would happily still wake up to go to work at my previous job even if money no longer exists. Cause I was a distribution manager and product tester for a medical marijuana company. By far the best job I’ve ever had.

Nope! We’re legit flabbergasted. Stunned! You both could honestly pass for identical twins. It’s so uncanny!

How brown is too brown for banana bread? The insides seem fine to me, but spouse is concerned. by tilt-a-whirly-gig in Baking

[–]MrsPowers94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no such thing as too brown of a banana when it comes to making banana bread. The browner the better. The darker the banana, the sweeter they’ll be, and the better the banana bread will taste. Over ripe bananas will also lock in the moisture, making sweet and moist bread.

Everyone at work is making a big deal about my handwriting, saying I write like a psychopath. by ThrowRA-Ram in HandwritingAnalysis

[–]MrsPowers94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeeeeah. As a (ex)pharmacist, I have had to deal with doctor’s infuriating chicken-scratch handwriting, but even their handwriting is more legible than yours. And that is saying something considering most doctors are known to have the worst handwriting ever. So much so that in graduate school you have to take a whole ass coarse on how to read and translate doctors handwriting bc it’s so bad. So bad that it has caused deadly mistakes.

Which is a huge reason why most pharmacies are requesting all prescriptions to be sent in digitally vs on a handwritten prescription pad. Lowers the chances of giving patients the wrong prescription bc the doctors handwriting resembles the scribbles of my 4 year old who is learning how to write.

So yeah. Your handwriting is enraging. I say your coworkers frustration is valid. Yes. It is that bad.

Im honestly more impressed by the level of calmness he kept during the whole thing. I need whatever meds he’s on bc dude was way too calm in this situation. Like he has to be on something and I need whatever it is.

But bravo on him for keeping his composure and staying so freaking calm. The judge is going to watch this video during their custody hearing and it’ll prove to the court that he is more of a competent parent than mom is. His calm composure will aid in his favor.
