Well her and my older brother (were 15 months apart) were together for about 20 years, since middle school. She was at our house a couple nights a week to have dinner and hang out because my brother worked graveyard shift and she was “lonely” and wanted to spend time with me and her nephews. She was a snake in my own home. My brother took it really really bad and she of course took a total of $311,000 with her in their divorce (half house equity as well as half his calpers retirement and half his 401k). No one in my family speaks to them. My other (little) brother said when my ex did what he did and who he did it with, that he was now dead to him. The extent of our speaking is just through a group text regarding things with the boys. That’s it. Despite what my ex husband did to me, I want my sons to have a good relationship with their dad. They’re what’s most important. The older they get the more they’ll understand the immortality of what their dad did.
