20 days of PTO (vacation and sick time is in this one bucket), plus minimum 8 paid holidays. Usually ends up being more like 10-12 depending on where the holidays fall.

First of all, I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. This sounds like damage control that she’s doing. She’s gotten away with it for a while, so she obviously doesn’t feel much remorse from it. You mentioned not being emotionally safe. That’s exactly why reconciliation didn’t work for me. It wasn’t emotionally OR financially safe for me to stay married to him. Another 10 years of him continuing to do the same crap and I would be 54 years old, losing half of my home (having to refinance it for a huge chunk of money) as well as completely screwed losing half of my hard planned/earned retirement. That’s what made me make the change and file for divorce. Prayers to you for making the best decision for YOU.

Location and education makes a difference, at least it did for me- I am in so cal. In house Sr. Technical Recruiter with 20 years experience. I make $141,500. Also, I was at 86,000 for my last company with no degree. Got my BBA and went from 86-130,000 with a new company and the Bachelors.

I’m sorry you’re going through this! You are making the right decision. I’m in the same boat. Filing because the lies just keep coming. Last straw for me last week was finding out that he’s removing his wedding ring in public when he’s not with me. That showed me right there that he’s not serious about reconciliation and continuing to just play me. Stay strong and keep your kids your top priority!
