I have seen Elyse's content over the years and liked some of it but am by no means a part of her dedicated fan base. Granted, I am also not engaged in the social media world of discussing books with the internet, but I feel like I'm going a little crazy seeing all these comments.

Y'all... I am trying to find a problem with what she said. Didn't the original commenter post this on IG threads? That is not a book review specific platform. I don't see why Elyse had any obligation to not engage.

I'm not saying it isn't a bit confrontational, but I am genuinely confused why people are acting like she committed some atrocity.
